To claim a non-Somali who vetoed a Gaza genocide resolution as one of your clansmen and give him a Somali name is a new low.
I've always said Somalis are their own worst enemies and this qabyaalad bs is the only thing holding back our true potential. Once we get past this qashin, we will be a force to be reckoned with. We just need to get our act together and leave behind this dysfunctional zero sum nonsense.
We've managed to rebuild a nation from scratch twice in a span of 34 years. Once was the ICU (until it was toppled by the US and Ethiopia) and again with the current government (despite the political drama) that's on its way to becoming a complete government and institutions rebuilt from scratch in the next few years. No country has ever achieved that within that time frame before. Either it took a century of state building, built by former colonists, or they've continued with the governance of their past empires. It highlights how resilient and powerful we can be if we came and worked together as a unit.

On the plus side, im glad that the younger generation is waking up to this embarrassing dysfunctional qabyaalad qashin and not tolerating this zero sum mindset. This will be a good thing down the road. I hope it also starts to seep into the young minds back home.

Probably around 9-10pm Minnesota time
Hopefully, there will be an upset and Omar Fateh will declare a victory. It may be a long shot, but you may never know due to Gaza and the support he received from prominent politicians.
Did you see his reaction when someone said they wouldnt support a politician taking a single dollar from "AIPAC" ? , its so funny. He mentions JPAC while muddling "Interesting" a dozen times, which is the California equivalent of it

He could still win this , If most of Davis’s and Hampton’s supporters rank Fateh second, their votes could push Fateh over 50 %.
They all asked their voters to not rank frey and rank each other as a slate. We will see if they followed it.
