It's not easy to forgive when you've heard stories like the ones I did growing up.
Some people are more understanding and are willing to forgive. But that isnt the case for everyone

Serious question but What does making that region a state do? It's still gonna be controlled by Somaliland , isn't it?

Midnimada umaada somaliyeed or Somalia aint in the Quran. We need an article in the constitution that allows anyone to leave. The iduur people can leave now, why not? It will be xasidnimo otherwise.

Do you see Khaatumo establishing itself as a prominent political state within Somalia?

It would be preferable if the people in the region came together and created a new state. Khatumo have a baggage and is too clan based. But clans such as dhulbahante, Habar Yoonis and Warsangeli are today stuck on the "battlefield" between SL and PL and they have benefited little. They should come together and become a federal state imo.
Capital could be lascaanood or Erigavo and they could take turns being president.

Somaliland is a place we all look to for guidance in terms of governance and prosperity. It's a roadmap many other states have come to love and follow. We must first admit that atrocities were committed against our brothers before we can even move forward and compromise.

If Somaliland recognizes Khatumo as a federal state, I'll sign off the papers myself.
Dhulbahante is a fighting force, many of their boys are alrighty stationed in Somalia fighting alongside our troops and dying for the greater cause. Its a tug of war between Sl and kh, it'll be alot easier to move on and establish Awdal as a priorty ally in the North.

Why were so many positive Somaliland threads about different recent politics like Kenya meetin SL and Berbera DP world merged with this negative one which was created in the summer
