I implore you to learn about the rights of a woman in marriage before you get married. This is unequivocally false and pushing this narrative is dangerous because you’re saying things that aren't true. Why must there be a conditions for a MAN to help around his own house? Read about the Prophet (SAW) and how he’d clean and mend his own clothes.

What reason are you getting married? To be a tyrant and rule over people who you’re supposed to lead and protect?

Sis, that is what I can't wrap my head around. They hate working women, yet complain about their duties of being a husband and the cost of living ect. They don't want to fully provide as we have seen in countless threads, they call women golddiggers for wanting to depend on a man, yet attack women who are financially independent and will probably chip in if working.

How is it dangerous since the man provide money food why would woman complain to cook the food the man buys and clean the house he rant or buy since she live in the house and should clean it and cook the food since it is her duty

Like I said Somali men are the unhappiest husbands. I believeit’s because a man’s instinct (humans in general) is to have something to strive for and to feel useful. They were raised catered to, get married and are catered to and then feel a lack in their life so then divorce.

When given responsibilities they fail because they were never prepared to fufill them as young boys. Whereas Somali girls are raised prepared to fufil wifely and motherly duties as children.

That’s why arguing with Somali men about what they want is futile. They just don’t know how to do their roles and were never given a model.

If one partner is the breadwinner, then naturally the other partner should be the housemaker. Even gaalos do this so I don’t get why this is so offensive to some people on sspot.

Nailed it. Very futile indeed. I know married Somali men, born and raised in the West who travel with their homies to foreign countries because they need a “break” (from what exactly?) and leave their children and wives at home. This isn’t right. You’d think the younger generation would be better but they are not.

If a married Somali girl did this, all hell would break loose.

Lol it isn't at all. I don't think any girl here would disagree with the notion that if you're a stay at home wife, you should be doing most of the cooking and cleaning, whilst the husband is providing. Only reason why its controversial is because some guys have issues helping, even when it comes to their own children. Motherhood, along with running a household can be a whole day job with hardly any breaks, holidays or promotions. For some women, especially the ones with a few kids under 5, their break is at night when the kids are finally in bed and at that point, the mum is tired herself. A bit of compassion goes a long way and it seems that is controversial for many men on sspot sadly.
