From what I read online it was rigged against them, later they tried to join the Somali region or atleast the Harari one and they were again attacked. As recent as 2018 they were trying to displace the Somalis there even the ones who spoke Oromo as a first language. Alhamdulilah they lost and the Somalis returned and got the town back, I hope they rejoin the Somali region soon or even the Harari one to make Somalis dominant there again, so it can later join galbeed.
