Confirmed reports received from the Ogaden reveal Oromo paramilitary militias unleashed a reign of terror on the indigenous Somali inhabitants in the border town of Baabili in Fafaan province, killing three and wounding scores.

Local contacts reveal dozens of Somali homes and businesses where torched as Oromo paramilitary forces indiscriminately opened fire on unarmed civilians which left three dead. The wounded civilians, that where lucky enough to survive where rushed to the nearby city of Jigjiga and are currently being treated with life threatening injuries according to family members and hospital staff.

Following the onslaught on the border town of Baabili, the Oromo paramilitary militias setup illegal military checkpoints in Fafaan province in the Ogaden between the town of Baabili and capital city of Jigjiga.

According to locals the main road between Jigjiga and Baabili currently remains impassable as vehicles and lorries being driven by indigenous Somali inhabitants are being looted by Oromo militias and Somali civilians gunned down on sight by fanatical Oromo paramilitaries just for being Somali.

The Somali Regional State administration in Jigjiga is yet to address these latest atrocities let alone take action.

Shinile Province, Ogaden?

:gucciwhat:

There are militias fighting back but they're up against the Oromo militias, state, and the fed military.
If 10% of the men had guns this wouldn't be happening as often. All the border towns should've been armed, Babille, Moyale, etc. And why hasn't the admin spoke about this, get the UN involved?

The UN will never help you. Ask Allah swt to help you and give you ability to defend yourself and then take action. Never rely on anyone except Allah swt

Its Somali, always has been. They've been fighting for months, every border town that has been attacked has been. The admin needs to talk about it, it can't go on forever.

Babille comes under the administrative region of Oromia. Ddsi is helpless as the town is out of its jurisdiction.
@embarassing quit posting ethnic infightings that happen outside of DDSI. Let these Somali cockroaches who chose Oromos over Ogadens enjoy the hospitality of the Oromos... Aka their "brothers".

Is Tuli Guleed and Moyaale part of Oromia? Why do you assume this is the portion of Babile under Oromia? You're the same guy who said Babile is an Oromo clan and originally Oromo, lol don't @ me with your irrelevant ramblings.

@embarassing stick to Somalia politics as you clearly have no clue what's going on across the border.

All these towns voted to leave the Somali Region and join Oromia in the 90s out of cuqdad for Ogaden. Now they reap the fruits of their labour.

I of course wish them victory against the Oromos however let this be a lesson to how qabyalad will end up destroying the 68 IQ Somali people.

The point is Oromos are displacing Somalis from their land, and land grabbing not just in Babile. Why is any of that relevant? Whether they wrongly chose to join or Oromia and the qabyalad of the 90's is irrelevant here and not the point of this thread.

Stop saying those towns are in the Ogaden region, clearly false information you're spreading. Cagjar's admin has no jurisdiction in Oromia and therefore can't help them.

You reap what you sow! They're the ones who CHOSE to leave the Somali region out of hatred for Ogadens.

I obviously didn't write it myself but shared an article written by someone else who views it that way.
Also, the same thing is going on in Mieyso, Moyale, Tuli Guleed, and other border towns which are part of the Somali region. Its part of a larger issue, no need to get caught up in semantics.

P.s. I do view it as part of Somali Galbeed

Usheeg habartaan. She spreads false information about these towns that CHOSE to leave the Somali region.

@embarassing learn to differentiate between Somali and Oromia regions. We don't care what happens west of the border.
