We really fucked up trying to free galbeed while we were still a desert state. We needed to simply fund rebels in those regions and industrialize the nation.

This is what you get when a government is run by a high school graduate.

We also don't have enough money or security to fund oil production anymore, it needs at least hundreds of millions in lobbying and investment.

Somaliland region might be a candidate for oil production if they attempt to but with the budget I doubt it.

Ya, I don't think oil is going anywhere soon. But there could be pressure on oil companies to become greener. This may make them want a better deal since it will be more costly to comply with environmental protocols.

This is not Somali oil but HAG oil. They actually discovered billions of proven offshore oil in Galmudug alone. But it needs big investement to get it off the ground. Turkey can do it if we share the profits with them. I haven't even mentioned the oil in lower Shebelle or Bendiir etc
