Age is not the only factor, but also genetics, diet and lifestyle. In addition, we are Muslim and understand that this is mainly due to qadr.

Having children at 35 is completely normal, even if the mother married in her teens/early 20s, especially amongst Somalis as we tend to have big families. My younger sisters were born when my mother was 35 and 38, whilst my mother had me at 23. I'm sure the women in your family were giving birth well into their 30s. Most kids in Somali families who are one of the youngest are usually born when the mother was over 32+.
