In a way, this kind of attitude and selective application of Islam is based on the agreement between the religious authority in Saudi Arabia and the government. The sheekhs there do not support opposition to the establishement no matter what the ruling class and family does. They use the verses and of the Quran and Sayings of the prophet pbuh that encourage muslims to unite and obey their leadership and those in charge in service to the Saudi King. I have no trouble with religious schilars supporting peace and prospertiy for their local region. But they should accept the same happen for all muslims and stop giving contradictory edicts that show their true colour. Not all Saudi sheekhs are like this and many keep their distance from the kingdom by strictly teaching Islam to students. But the ones hired and nominated to Authority level are vetted by the ruling family and msut use Islam to serve their kingdom. I am cool with that as long as they extend the kindness and care to other muslims whoa re plagued by wrong edicts that allow bloodshed to occur and young ingorant fools who know little about Islam legitimize themselves the shedding of the blood of muslims.

Basra, First part and last part of your question are No. As far as Education goes(assuming religious education is what you meant), All my childhood teachers were trained in Saudi Universities. I also have relatives on my mother side who had and some still have deep ties to the religious side of the kingdom. I have read debates and disagreements between modern scholars over the political Islamic issues. So, information is readily available online.

Anyone who spent time in Kenya and Somalia and casually attended the mosques like I did would have been exposed to the conflicts and political disagreements tearing apart the Islamic countries in the last decade. So, that is how I know what I know.

@beenleey

Imagine Gaalkacayo hosting Somalia’s first gay pride March and think of @Crow And @Mckenzie on the same float dancing together and wiggling to the sound of calypso. Then, you will see @Cognitivedissonance with a big smug on his face, excited and screaming, “yooow beauty ladies”? If that could happen, there would’ve been peace, stability and progress in all over Somalia. Now, we will be the only Salafi country left on the planet and everyone else is realising the Rights of human beings.
somalia aint Saudi now, we don't follow in there footsteps and pay no mind to the likes of wahab we aint @Omar del Sur, we won't go against our principles

We both know that the 2 important parts of Saudi Arabia won't be touched until end times, so your point doesnt stack up. The rest of the country can burn to the ground and it will spare Yemen the bombings for all I care. The House of Saud is evil
not true, medina will have a earthquake that takes out all the hypocrite populace

First of all. May Allah protect you from the shaytan Aussie

HOWEVER.
remember that ISLAM is about justice and truth telling. Before you speak about a situation that none of us have been, ask yourself "would I say this if my family was the one being persecuted". Ask yourself, "what would I say to a person that suffered oppression on yawmul qiyamah by supporting his oppressor"

THE BEST THING TO DO IN THESE TIMES IS TO STAY SILENT AND TO NOT SUPPORT A KILLER EVEN IF HE HAS A BILLION DOLLARS. THE SILENT ONE STAYS SAFE.
YOU HAVE PEOPLE WAKING UP AT 5 AM TO GO TO A LONDON PARK TO DEFEND A REGIME THAT COULD GIVE TWO LICKS ABOUT THEM.

Let us seperate ourself from fitnah, but lets not belittle the life of people. The "ruler" is not more sacred than any other life. Speak the haqq, be fair and dont make the deen to be the property of a ruler. It belong to Allah SWT, rulers comes and go, states come and go, but deen is forever.

Good advise. Simply put, worry about your own accountability and the answers you must give to Allah. Allah will not accept willful and blind support of someone hurting other human beings much less muslims. You can not sacrifice your individuality, responsibility and faith for anyone be they a ruler or your own siblings if they are engaged in harmful activities. One needs to stay firm on their convictions even if the sky has to fall on them in doing so.

I think it is beneath one's dignity to defend another human being who doesn't deserve to be defended.

With that said, muslims need to avoid encouraging violence and chaos. It is tor that reason, I agree with Saudi religious people who care and put the safety of their people and that of muslims first . Violence is not a solution to deep rooted problems among muslims. Knowledge and learning can shirnk problems to a manageable size. Religious people should make a sacrifice in that regard and not be part of the chaos in their communities. And this should not mean sanctioning what rulers do who don't care about Islam and want to stay in power for their own gain. Makes a mockery of Islam.

This is the balance that some of our salafi brothers need.

They dont take the deen as eternal haqq. Rather they view it as continuous programming based on what paid scholars tell them every 5 years.

Theyre infinitely better than gallo.
But their foolishness often gets between people and Deen. That is a dangerous place to be.
How many brothers have i seen whose pure heart was far more organic and joyful when they started practiting with little knowledge than when they progreased into salafiya programming

good thing is they know there position check there literature on here defending "islamic rulers", so as long as there not the rulers(leave that to actually knowledgeable muslim people) but followers according to their logic they must follow and fall in line:mjlol: the problem is there at times hypocritical, I saw them criticizing siad barre for example in one thread even though he's an islamic leader and I had to call them out(they for some reason try to reserve this logic for only Saudi when MBS is obviously worse then barre), but due to how these followers of wahab(islams version of Paul) think there followers so its on the leaders on how were represented and they will justify regardless like they are with MBS

That is not correct. Islam doesn't change. Salafiyyah does not change. By definition, it does not.

The scholars are not infallible and no Salafi who is really upon Salafiyyah is going to tell you to blind follow scholars. Sheikh Ibn Baz himself said not to do that.

How does Salafiyyah teach blind following some set of scholars when Sheikh Ibn Baz, who is considered one of the top Salafi scholars, himself specifically said not to blind follow scholars?

You're saying something about the Salafis that isn't true. Nowhere have I ever seen any Salafi propound a principle that you need to follow Islam as understood by some latest scholar.

If Sheikh Ibn Baz says one thing and Sheikh Fawzan says another thing, there is no principle in Salafiyyah that you have to go with Sheikh Fawzan. If Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah says something and Sheikh Ibn Baz had a different opinion, there is no principle in Salafiyyah that says you go with whichever opinion was more recent. That alleged principle does not exist.

We're not old-school Communists where we have some official party which puts out its publication and dictates some party line which we all must follow. We're not Catholics where we have to follow the Pope's latest encyclical or papal bull.

Sheikh Fawzan is a great scholar but you're not required to agree with whatever he says. We're not some organization where we have weekly meetings and carry offical Salafi membership cards. There is no official chairman of Salafiyyah. Sheikh Fawzan is loved but he's not a pope. There's no central headquarters dictating the official party line.

Actually, it is eternal principles. It's not based on following some latest updates.

What you're saying is not true at all and I don't think it's cool for you to attack the Salafis based on stuff that isn't true. Salafis are constantly referring to Sheikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, Sheikh Ibn Baz, Sheikh Uthaymeen, etc.

I'm offended that you would make stuff up. Show me anywhere where Salafis propound that non-existent principle you claim Salafis follow, if you are being truthful.

.
There was always defiant/non religious Saudi people even in the prophets time pbuh, I just hope they keep these kinda events/behaviour far away from Makkah & Madinah

Then it becomes a problem
Someone posted on that same page what seemed to be refutation to the claim of Saudi Government doing the alleged program.

I googled articles for Saudi Arabia's official position on this but came up with nothing. This could be someone making a claim without official sanction from Saudia's gov.

Scroll down on the page if you can understand Arabic.

Someone should post an update relevant to this for further clarification.

Umm as soon as anything like this comes up, people tag me. And secondly, I don't appreciate a whole paragraph of shouty text. You're telling me to be silent while you direct a whole paragraph in all caps at me.

I have said previously and intend to say it again- I am against backbiting the Muslim ruler.

We are Muslims, not revolutionary Marxists. Our religion isn't about beating on our chests and "fighting the power" and revolution, revolution, revolution.

My role model is Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), not Che Guevara.

I'm not getting my fataawa from Vladimir Lenin or George Washington. I'm not Ayatollah Khomeini.

You call @AussieHustler a shaytan.

AussieHustler and the various other cucks of the world are also preaching against Saudi.

I'm sure the Huffington Post would be very onboard with the "let's overthrow the Saudis" agenda.

Why are white liberals onboard with your cause? Your boat is full of white liberals, feminists, Shia , Sufis and is driven by leftism and liberalism. No way do I want to be on that boat. You're on the same boat with @Knowles, @AussieHustler and basically every "liberal Muslim" on earth.

Are we to think with our intellect or with our emotions, as women tend to do?

If we want Islam to rule the world, why on earth would it make sense to go after the regime that probably has the most fully implemented sharia on earth? Why go after one of the most conservative societies on earth?

Well- that explains it, actually. Like I said, the anti-Saudi bandwagon is being driven by leftism and liberalism. That it's one of the most conservative societies on earth is why it's in the crosshairs. I'm not an idiot. Why do you think liberal cucks like Aussie drool with wishing to see the Saudi regime overthrown?

Why do you think liberals are so determined to oppose Saudi?

Use your intellect. Saudi is in the way of liberal hegemony. That's the real aim. That's why it's Saudi specifically in the crosshairs. Do you think it's that the masses of liberals are so concerned with the sanctity the holy cities? It's because Saudi Arabia and the Salafi minhaj which it promotes are direct barriers to liberal hegemony and to the "Islamic reformation" the Ayaan Hirsi Alis and "Imam" Tawhidid talk about. It has nothing to do with the sanctity of Islam. It's about getting those women out of the niqab and about removing the barrier to "liberal Islam," "Islamic reform," Shia, Sufi, etc. the kuffar back the Sufi, Shia type sects.... I saw @Basra in a thread ask @AussieHustler for his view on something in Islam and Aussie directed her to seek out a Sufi sheikh.... why do you think Aussie wanted her to go to a Sufi sheikh? why do you think Hamza Yusuf is so welcome at the White House?

they want Islam to be as weakened and watered down as Christianity is

I never called myself salafi sxb. They taught us as kids that Salafis are the first three generations of Islam and those who followed them soon after. Salafism is their aqeedah. It is not a party people can Join or an ideology people adhere to that would be different from what Authentic Islam based on Quran and on prophet's(pbuh) verified sayings teach.

Every Muslim whose aqeedah matches that of Sahabah and the imediate generations following them is both Sunni and salafi. No one has Monopoly on it. It is common to majority of Muslims.

@Omar del Sur mentioned me 4 times in that post, am I replacing Sheikh Bin Baz as his favourite spiritual leader? Time will tell!!
I recognize your spiritual leadership of the cucks. You're basically the official local representative of the liberal cucks/ male feminist crowd.

EDIT: wait a minute.... I was rereading my post and I mentioned you three times.... I know it would probably have shown up in your updates as four but four would have been because you were mentioned in the quoted post I was replying to
