There is focus on harshness instead of kindness and understanding. Expanding the tent of faith and accepting people's shortfalls with the aim to encourage them to do better and help themselves spiritually should be part of calling people to Islam.

There is value for oneself in praying for others. Whatever you ask God on behalf of others also counts for you and your act of prayer is treated as if you prayed for yourself. That is amazing approach to faith. There is also a warning against cursing people because if they don't deserve the curse, it comes back on you. That you care about others and pray for their guidance, that you do not judge them harshly and treat them as if they were less of a human being for their personal weakness speaks of one's depth of faith. You are kind and understanding does not mean you accept what is bad, or you are soft on sins. It means you relate to human weakness and people's struggles against Satan and his whispers. Humans are not perfect beings.

Being in the middle of road is the best in Faith. We all gravitate towards people whoa re kinder and gentler and who would not abandon us in our hour of need.

There are few people who deserve scorn and public derision for their attitude and wanton behaviors, but most human beings are good.

hilarious when they say r you muslim when you disagree with thm, and cant continue debating, you kaffir, their way of shuting you down. for thm their point is always absolute.

It depends on what you disagree with them about. For example, if you question a tenet of Islam, their questioning of your faith would be a normal reaction and not that they are questioning at face value. Because a Muslim would not question an Islamic tenet when they are expected to already know and agree to the Islamic tenet being discussed.

You have to deal with people the same way you prefer to be dealt with. In this case, people questioning your Islam might be confused about your status if what you are challenging is a tenet in Islam.

It would be nice if they asked you politely and clarified what their questions are based on and why.. But if I were you, I would extend them the same courtesy I would like others to extend to me.

this is what i have problem with, they really high on religion unlike christians, budists, judism etc, more often than not they get you involved and throw so much annoying questions like why dont you pray, fast ,why dressing like this, why you dating etc etc,and theres the lecture. i respect everyones religion and is fine if discuss with thm once a while but it getting monotonous and the worst thing is these people might drink, date and do lot illegal stuff.know many of thm like that.
its specially crazy online and they quick to start hurling curses if you challenge rightly or wrongly.
i.e why they have to get mad if someone claims not muslim, why insult?why should they care?
each to his own, you know damn well theres no otha religion like that.how many times you see online people ask if you budist or christian etc.

Its a sign of your arrogance and self-confidence, thinking you know better than lord. Stay clear off that path of doom and forever habitation in the abode of Satan

I never claim to know better but at least I use my brain and i never blindly follow anything without researching about it.. muslims like you are the ones claim to know everything and knowing who is going to hell and heaven.

aren't these muslims in somalia raping children and exploding and killing each other. if we were open-minded nation we would move beyond tribalism and make religion a personal matter and create laws that will give decent life for all somalis.

You get it wrong obviously. Telling what leads to hell and heaven is like telling a class of students what will get them pass the upcoming test and what they need to study to either get high grades or fail in class. The attitude through which the professor conveys this message needs to be professional and indicate he/she cares about the student's success, but ultimately, a student can not blame the teacher for pointing out the obvious.

Step back and figure out what you have issues with:

A- is it the idea of a reward by God?
B- the methodology of people you encounter whose attitude needs to change for the better and you would accept their message if they were polite and sincere?

Muslims will always tell others what Islam is about and what leads to hell and heaven because that is what they believe in. Faulting them for that is not reasonable.

It is not rational or reasonable to blame Muslims for the act of wrong doers among them who victimize Muslim populations. Common sense.

One can not generalize populations and expect to be taken seriously.

At least I can say Muslims take their religion seriously. At least most of them. Although I do struggle with timely prayers, I quit my first job after the boss told me I must pray at home in stead of praying at work. Mexicans who were there and saw the boss yelling at me offered me a backdoor in at the line so i can get paid, but I declined their offer and waited in the break-room for the Van that took me there from the temporary agency I was working for at the time. I was brand new Nomad back then.

Do you know why I put my relationship with my creator above material gain like a paycheck? Because my destiny is to die and I can NOT dodge that. I am convinced the God who created me to begin with, who let me grow into an adult and then let me age gracefully till I die will be able to bring me back from oblivion and put my bones together at will so he can question me of my time past and practices in the previous life. People practice their convictions, So Muslims are convinced they will have a real facet-time with their Creator and want to live their live accordingly as much as they can.

And I am not saying Muslims are perfect. But that is what motivates them. Meeting their creator and being convinced of his existence makes them prioritize their faith over everything else.

I noticed this problem with muslims too. most of muslims have no respect to the personal barriers, they shamelessly interfere with the most private things of your life. also they know that god in judgement day will judge everyone individually not with family and friends but individually so every muslim should focus on her/him life only but not to police around everyone and annoy them.

If you are Somali, you should expect other Somalis to treat you as one of theirs and not consider you an outsider. Most of their brazen advise-giving and them talking to you as if they are entitled to tell you something comes from their culture that instills common bond between Somalis. I do understand you want them to mind their business, but that would not happen as long as you look like an average Somali. Why not be open minded yourself and see their genuine feelings for you as someone related to them?

If I ran into you today and I recognized you as a Somali, and our eyes met, of course, I would greet you as my own.

Roble, I made you laugh saxib. That is a point/credit for me. More fun to come. I will beat you at your game and convince you soon how wrong you were about your folk brother man.

I make dua’ for pagan Somali tribalists like @Suldaanka who think they are Muslims but celebrated when he murdered 5 dhuulos because of tribal warfare. When he becomes a genuine Muslim, I hope that he and others will cease their evil pagan clannish wars.
