The whole nation thought of him as their true and unquestionable leader for 21 years. That is a very long time. Abdullahi Yusuf and president sharmarke didn't have anywhere near as much power or adoration of the population, and what happened to president sharmarke was not caused by us, but A. Yusuf conspired against siyad barre. You're comparing two completely different levels. Siyad barre held Somalis together for a long time even though there was reer badiyo opposition. No other leader in the history of the "Somali" people was able to hold power over the entire peninsula for that long. Some people calling aabe might not be mx you just assume they are.
