Standard Somali is the Somali spoken in Dollo region of Ethiopia. This is the standard Somali that B. W Andrzejewski, Muuse Galaal and Shire Jaamac Axmad chose to use when writing the language.

No difference to "reer waqooyi" accent.

Now can you provide evidence for your claim that he lived in the 17th century?

Recently found out reer mudug accent has a lot of dh sounds (kartaa/kadhaa jirto/jidho shirto shidho etc). Not sure if my family has been influenced by their time down south, but I've never heard them use dh in those type of words.

Waqooyi accent accent is the standard Somali and the purest form of the language. The rest have too many Italian and Bantu loanwords.

I can't tell the difference between a mudug Bari and Mlgadishu accents wallahi. All koonfurians have a similar dialect

Marcelo Lamberti, the only linguist to have done extensive field work on Somali dialects, concluded in his report in 1981 that the official dialect of the Somali Democratic Republic is northern Somali. Now what's the basis for you claim other than Clannist propaganda?

Northern Somali is understood as what’s spoken in most of the country as far south as Jubbland, you’ve misunderstood it to mean waqooyi as we understand it.

I'd say if the person was Somali they'd fall to bias/prejudice and not to mention that he is the only scholar who conducted large scale extensive research on the Somali language so he is definitely worth bringing up.
