Tbh, UK Somalis should've been like American and Canadian Somalis.

American and Canadian Somalis are the libaax of the Somali Diasporas. They run their cities.

Don't you think it's because of the state benefits which makes us lazy???
Keep in mind nearly half of the UK population came to the UK from Europe due to the fact the host nations was cracking down on benefits and the UK seems to be a safe haven...
But this reason is hidden because reer Europe says they came to the UK primarily for business & education which is far from the truth........

I definitely agree that benefits have made a lot of people lazy. You find people discussing ways of exploiting the system to get more money instead of how to get off by getting this job or joining this scheme.

Very true and it's never talked about in our community. What's worse is that these practice is breaking apart family unities across the country. Why would a woman need a man in the house if the government provides a paycheck greater than the husbands?

It's absolutely because of state benefits.

In America and Canada, the benefits/welfare is not enough where you can live off, they give the people there a little bit of money, so you have to work, whereas in the UK, you can live off the benefits/welfare and it makes you lazy.

In America and Canada, Somalis are more successful and own homes because the benefits won't be enough for their families and they don't want to live off the benefits because it looks "ceeb" in the community.

In the UK we're the complete opposite of them.

very true saaxiib. People love to blame to the government,racism in school & the adoption of ghetto culture as the cause of all the problems we face. There's no sense of self-accountability in our community which is very similar to the African American community.......
