We are actually closer to North African then to the madowsIt’s partly our own fault for all of the ana carab shit and the fake historical Arab tribal forefathers that plays into their narratives about us so well
The Madow minorities of Ethiopia are pretty much waging war against Cushitic/Semitic Ethiopians online claiming only they are indigenous. This is mostly those Nilotic Ethios waging this online war and declaring themselves the “real Ethiopians”.Exhausted topic. How about africans start talking about how mama african Habeshas claim to be the product of a one night stand between the queen of sheba and prophet solomon (as) aoodubilah

I’m pretty sure Bantus from Somalia & the Benadiris have also waged this online discourse that Cushitic speaking Somaloids of Somalia (especially Banadir, SW State & JL) aren’t indigenous to region.
Well I’ve seen them say it. They are also super attached to the Ethiopian label. Think it’s some form of self-hatred as if being associated with genetically Cushitic Ethiopia is better than being mistakened as South Sudanese. The only Nilotes in Ethiopia are the Anyuak and the Nuer; the Anyuak arrived in Ethiopia in around the 1600s; and the Nuer arrived in Ethiopia in the late 1800s. It would make zero sense for these communities to say something like that.
Omotic folks with genetic profiles like the Ancient Mots individual are the true indigenous of the Horn and predate Cushites. The closely related Suri and Mursi people (another Nilo-Saharan group) of the Omo Valley have been in that part of Ethiopia for thousands of years.

Are those Anuyak the same as the Gambella? Or a different ethnicity?I've met some Anyuak that wanted to be associated with Ethiopia for some strange reason; and I'm rarely rude, but I just call them South Sudanese, whether they like it or not.
I’m pretty sure they were language shifted by whoever brought the Omotic languages from NE Africa. Some of them carry West Eurasian but not sure if it’s from Cushites or from a much older wave of NE Africans. The Niko-Saharan Gumuz seem to also be admixed with significant Mota ancestryAs I understand it, they also speak Afro-Asiatic languages that predate the other branches of Afro-Asiatic. Is this true?

The replies are embarassingLook what I just seen on twitter
This is the same person using old pic from 1900's of Us and claim it was before we became Muslim. We shouldn't give any attention to these people. All they want is to steal our history and land once people claim black, which is the erasure of our identity culture history and land ownership.Look what I just seen on twitter
stop the cap. diaspora maybe but majority of people north of gaalkacyo truly believe their forefathers were arabs and consider themselves as arabs.Lowkey I’ve only heard of this conversation online never irl in the diaspora or back home.
