It's like when you first went to Somalia, that conditioning of them being some uncivilised, unsafe backward country and those biases you carried as a result of intense western propagation of these myths are all shattered when you spend time there, the more the better, I know a lot of people that returned since, and there is nothing I love more then going back permanently.

This conditioning is very overt but mostly subconscious at the same time and hence your never really cognisant of it even happening.

The reality in fact looking at it from the outside she is just a conformist, if she was in a village in India, you would be discussing about the Elephant God's and how the filthy Ganji rivers are holy, had she come from a village in Haiti, she would embrace the occult voodo rituals.

She is just a product of whatever environment you put her in and will conform to it, they day she realises this, is the day she begins to think independently and remove those mental Europhile shackles from her mind, and free herself from the real slavery & servitude.

Somalinimo to me is the sum of shared experiences that supercede those differences. How you can mention to a stranger an experience, a food, a song, a joke and not have to give an explanation. How an elder not related to you or even of your clan will give you duco for no reason. That you can express a side of yourself to someone that you usually keep at home.
