People desire secret marriages because they want to express themselves sexually especially when they are young and cannot financially get married and aren't ready for children and everything to do with marriage.

I can't speak for women but I think that in the long term there are some benefits to having secret marriage such as seeing sexual compatibility, not commuting zina etc.

Finally I don't know if it is rational for a woman to enter such a relationship but if she wants to she may.
Yh, that was what I was getting to. That practice is not a true marriage with [at least] the intention of "forever"; the vows are empty (thus, I don't understand how it can be 'halal'). The main point seems to be for temporary gratification...and while temporary gratification can be appealing for both men and women...realistically speaking, it's also costly for a woman's long term path [in a way that it isn't for a man] if the relationship were to fall apart.

It is definitely not rational (from a woman's perspective) but, as long as the man gives a full & honest disclosure about his intentions, I agree that it's ultimately the women's choice on whether to participate or not. :manny:

The females here are so annoying trying tu turn this into blame the men game. How is it disadvantegous to women when most of the time its the women who wants to keep the marriage secret. Perhaps she is attending university or pursuing her career and needs halal sexual healing

Secret marriage is attractive to guys who are irresponsible, broke and are scared of getting the parents involved

Any girl who would agree to such an arrangement is dumb

The day she gets pregnant I wouldnt be suprised if he tells her to abort it so she can cover it up just like the secret marriage

There is something known as qudba sir or qudhbo Siro where you get a mehr from a sheikh but no one knows so you are basically dating but having halal sex.

On the other hand there is the Shia Nikah Mut'ah which is haram where you have a temporary wife.

There is Misyar which was common in the past which I'm not completely sure about.

What i'm asking is if there is a halal way of getting some sugarwalls without having to marry her. Qudhbo siro seems the most acceptable as it is everything a marriage is without announcing the Nikah to the public.

EDIT: You're in this to not get her pregnant but just to f*ck and date as a casual couple. And you don't necessarily have to get this as a second wife but as a student who can't afford a marriage or if you just don't want to get married

2nd edit: Just for discussion and opinions of the people on this forum.
This Islamically is haram. I'm happy I'm Christian and don't have to worry about hubby having a second wife that is actually a mistress.

One if my family friends actually had a father who died and they learned he had a second family on the other side of the country after he had died. Somali men are scum when it comes to polygamy and Islam encourages it. Good luck Somali women! Islamically you cannot deny your husband from having a second wife.

It's true that women usually end up getting the shorter stick but your viewpoint on qudhbo siro on the behalf of women is as if they don't have the freedom or desire to want to have a secret marriage for multiple reasons. It seems to me that you have the traditional viewpoint of women getting married for financial security etc. What if some women desire to be part of a secret marriage? Ans why do you assume women can't have fun in this.
This is pure Western dating. You don't marry to have sex. Looks like only Christianity teaches the sanctity of marriage.

With a halal twist
There's nothing halal about this you disgusting trash. Go have sex with your left hand if you're that wet behind the ears to have sex. May God allow all men who do these actions and take advantage of women burn in hell. In Jesus' name Amen.

It's a secret marriage. Without being public about it you have an intent to divorce. If It's so secretive why not date instead? Because this is clearly sinful.
Not necessarily are you telling me cohabiting couples or people in relationships have the intention of breaking up if they aren't marreied. Many people don't necessarily have the intention of breaking up but stay in a relationship for years and years
