Samaroon women aren't part Arab, as far as I'm aware. :siilaanyolaugh: I've heard stereotypes where people say they make good wives and are quite even-tempered. Not sure if it's true but I suppose there is truth in numbers as people keep saying it.
I think it's because I'm a bit older and time has a tendency to make you more mellow and I am somewhat agreeable.

I've been on Somali Spot for some time, which has allowed me to interface with various members and form personality profiles. I try not to take anything too seriously on here. And I suppose that style works well for me.
Has very little to do with age, it's a common shared trait that differs from other Somali women, the most well rounded Somali women I met in Europe were mostly Samaroon.
But the problem with them is the same problems that generally plague most Wooqoyi women in general in comparison to other Somali's; extreme levels of materialism, high maintenance and poignant jealousy.
The materialistic aspect is one I revile the most as a minimalist, but I understand it's a give or take and a case of pick your poison depending where you are in this world.
If I was forced to get married in matriarchal Europe, no doubt they are by far the best Somali women unlike my Southern Xaalimo's who are quick to crucify you, challenge your authority until you become toothless, then subsequently throw you out.
Such women are only good when you marry them back home or in a patriarchal land were they are dissuaded from these kinds of things and you can stomp your authority on them when they transgress.
The stereotypes have always been that Wooqoyi women are far greater with their husbands in comparison to Southern Xaalimo's who tend to neglect them after the honeymoon phase.
But the Southerner Xaalimo resoundingly beats the Wooqoyi women when it comes to child-rearing and raising strong children with high self-esteem.
Everything has an up/down side, this high-self esteem we instil in our daughters is what unfortunately causes most of them to not look after themselves in terms of beauty, appearance and looks or even take it serious.
While the much less-secure Wooqoyi chick is obsessed about beauty, looks and appearance and they tend to take these aspects seriously, hence why Wooqoyi women in general look much better for these reasons.
I like to view people from a cultural and group psychology level going as far back as possible, of course there are always exceptions to the norm especially with those who are mixed, and also some regions are more extreme then others. (mudug being the worst)
But again stereotypes like these don't materialise out of thin air, they are grounded in countless experiences of many and as a result are based upon realities.
