Somalia is a fourth world country where all your supposed comforts can be taken away from you in the blink of an eye. There is no meaningful future for your or your children in comparison to a Western lifestyle that's superior in almost every way in the long run.

Again, Somalia is a dirt poor country with a tragic economy. I'd imagine business isn't really a thing there beyond a few proto-chaebols and hotels. What sort of a market can you have in a country where the average person lives on less than $2 a day?
Why don't you hear about Ethiopians going on tahreeb as often as Somalis? Instead, they tahreeb to Somalia. Young people are tahreebing to Somalia for opportunities. Why don't the locals take those jobs for themselves? I just think that the problem in Somalia is that the people are too materialistic. They want an easy lifestyle. They don't want to work hard. I've never seen this anywhere else in other poor countries. In every other poor country, there is no such concept of "lowly jobs" which foreigners take like in Somalia.

The issue is Somali culture. A xabashi is willing to work his socks off for a pittance no matter how degrading the job. Somalis are too lazy and arrogant. Work ethic is nonexistent. Couple that with a country with no jobs or economy to speak of and you have a recipe for failure.

I agree.

They have the longest coast in Somalia, and it's not even being used. If I was going to tahreeb somewhere, it would be to the coast. I would be a fisherman.

Hmmm

1) tahriib costs thousand $$$
2) everyone knows the risks of tahriib
3) Libya is a famous hellhole with civil war and savage people

Sad but why didn't he use that tahriib money to set up a small business by himself or relatives/friends etc

Why are you guys talking like a business has no chance of failure? In a fucking third world country too. Reaching a first world country is likely far more beneficial for him than a 'successful' tiny store in Somalia would ever be.

Runti, it boils down to balls. He decided for himself that the risk-benefit pans out and many of us would agree. It didn't work out, he knew the risk and that's unlucky. Doesn't mean we don't get to sympathise with him just because you lot would opt for perpetual poverty.

It's like telling one of those European peasants not to risk taking a boat to the New World.

Yeah, you might get skinned alive by Jumping Wolf but it beats condemning you and your descendants to a lifetime of peasantry

That's perfectly fine if you're literally just looking to survive. Some people strife for more.

If the average farax with no money could tahreeb, I wouldn't blame him. But no, they're the ones staying in Somalia.

However, the wealthy ones, the one who already live a good lifestyle, they are the ones who are embarking on the journey.

He gambled with his life and it didn't work out :manny:

I tend to have sympathy for those who don't gamble on their lives :manny:

It's pretty the same actually however if you know the risks why blame the Arab savage?

How'd you get to the UK? Parents a little better off than the rest of the family stuck in the third world I'm assuming? Why didn't you stay in Las Caanood?

Our family haven't lived in the north for a little over half a century sxb. We have no ties with Laascaanood. My father, grandfather, great grandfather were all born in the south. Ain't no way we're staying in Kismayo or Xamar with Aideed telling the mooryaans to kill every darood they can find, in fact he made a specific request for Dhulbahante. :icon lol:

I don't.

I understand the nature of the Arab. In fact I'm flabbergasted when one mimics human emotions like empathy or compassion, it seems almost sincere at times.

My point is if you want a better life more often than not you must take tremndous risks. Luck was on my side, but not on his. I find it unbelievable that those literally only lucky enough, or even more troublingly, saved only by the grace of God, insult and mock those who did not share their good fortune.

Stop being a snowflake, no one insulted the guy, it's his choice and people are pointing out he knew the risks that lurked in such decision.

Again, thank God you don't have to make that decision.

People want a future for themselves and their children. You can't blame them for wanting what you take for granted i.e not living in a literal shithole
I'm not suprised you think like that cause after all you're a gaal all you worship is money & worldly things.

And not all of Somalia is a shit hole like gedo that's over run with al shabaab Alhamdulillah there peace & governance iyo kala dambayn in somaliland & Puntland.
