Also one of my friends got a track scholarship last monthIt is entirely possible that Somalis have average IQs much higher than what has been thrown around on this board. I used state standardized test data for two high schools in Minnesota that are 100% Somali to show this possibility.
The first is Ubah Medical Academy in Hopkins and the second is Higher Ground Academy in St. Paul. Combined these two schools have about 1,000 students that are 100% Somali.

Almost 100% of each school qualify for the Reduced or Free Lunch program from the USDA. If you adjust for poverty using this program as a proxy for poverty, Somalis outperform even Whites almost all the time! These data have shocked me since I saw them a few hours ago, absolutely mind blowing.
Keep in mind that Minnesota, as a state, has some of the most intelligent people in the US. Being near average in Minnesota means being moderately above average in the US.

This is bullshit. Those are socio-cultural traits. Polygenic scores are weakly predictive, as has been proven through scientific control, when they relate to general behavioral traits and temperamental variability. That is why medical health facilities don't use them since false positives make them less predictive than random guesses.

Polygenic risk scores, which estimate a person’s disease risk based on thousands or millions of common genetic variants, perform poorly in screening and prediction of common diseases such as heart disease, according to a new study led by UCL researchers.
Polygenics is a real thing from a genomics standpoint, but metrics for scoring or highlighting traits predicting behavior are not good; people who push its validity are fraudulent. Besides, we know that the more polygenic behavior is, which all behavior is, the higher the percentage environment plays since each DNA in an interrelated cluster has a weak association.
A "trait" like conscientiousness is a vaguely defined, broad set of characteristics spoken about in psychology that is extremely polygenic, and as such, has more to do with upbringing, culture, and other external factors than genetic predispositions. This gene-centric view is a call back to the eugenic legacy that tries to brand broad behavioral categories -- defined unscientifically by Western psychology -- as primarily gene-based.
Words like 'heritable' are not used correctly by people on the "expert" side who have an agenda, like Robert Plomin et al., and the people who hear it, mainly propagandists of various kinds from the pseudo-intellectual side and laymen, misunderstand what it means. The vague dimension of that term has led to much confusion, lies, and corruption in modern discourse on human behavior.

A random guy who says "a person who has discipline and drive" using pure colloquial words is scientifically and generally correct over that drivel. I see these types all over the internet thinking they can speak down to people without having any intelligence in what they write. He regurgitated a few words he got from somewhere else uncritically and came here to say Somalis are not only stupid, but they are temperamentally misaligned for the sweet spot that one requires to fair well even if they had intelligence.
