Most wealthy families, wouldn't allow their daughter to marry a poor groom. Its the way the world works unfortunately.
No shit. And why "unfortunately"? Who in their right mind is gonna say "this guy is poor af and unstable but u know, he seems like a nice guy, guess I'll let my daughter marry him!" loool

Scholars are of the opinion that Mehr should be wealth and not Quraan. Furthermore, Mehr is something the woman requests, you do not have the right to tell her what she should ask.

Also, you didn't answer my question. What do you bring to the table? You want a woman that does everything around the house, submits to you, raises your kids AND helps you with bills. What do you offer her? Why would a woman even bother being with you?

2k isn't a lot. Only a broke man behaves as though a woman owes him everything just because he gave her 2k. That is less than a lot of women's monthly salary. You sound like a broke miser.

I will graduate in 3 years with my Engineering degree and will be earning top tier salaries. So I bring money to the table and money solves all problems.

Any woman that asks for a lot of money from her husband is only doing so to impress their friends or relatives. So naturally I wouldnt even want to attract those sort of leeching females and I’m sure no man will(no matter how rich you are) If I was to pay 50k meher etc I would give it to a world class model not the average fadumo from shoreditch

Go for what you truly want. Not someone you regard as 'average'.

Tbh, u can just date your s/o without the bondage that comes with being married. I don’t see you getting married tbh- lool give off hippy vibes
It can very well be bondage, especially with the wrong person, sure.

It all depends. Definitely marriage, if kids would be involved. I think there’s an advantage there.

Beyond that, it all depends.

I think even if I were married, I’d want to own separate homes, or to have a portion of the house that was off limits. It seems like giving something up. It’s kind of scary in that way.

On the other hand, I think if you shack up, you have to be just as careful.

On the other other hand, there are people who treat marriages like nothing, so they’re life-sucking and unbearable, and though I don’t judge shack-up lifestyle, a lot of times treating a shack-up like a marriage (playing house) becomes its own tragedy.

From what I’ve seen, it really takes a lot of work to have a happy, functioning marriage, to keep the love, and those are few. As for happy shack-ups, those are many, but fleeting, and end disastrously.

There are no good odds either way, unless you find a gem of a person that you can deal with, and can deal with you. If you do find that, marriage is best. But those odds are slim.
