Big cities are expensive. Like I said I work two jobs. What is the issue if my wife chooses to pay half the rent, it’s a roof over her head too.

He works in uber. If I was married to a xaasid like him, i'd keep all my money and make him do 7 days a week shifts. Some uber drivers that work back to back make more money than professionals.

Let him be the man of the house. Then at least he'd have an excuse not to help.

For me living in london, to live with a single income like I do, u would either have to earn alot or u have to living in a council estate (like the projects).
Thats why i recommend ppl dont live in big cities bc by living their ur putting urself at a disadvantage they suck up all ur money and the benefits are not good compared to the downsides.
Most somalis in uk live in council estates which is why they get involved in gang stuff. Its self defeating to live in an expensive city wen uno u cant afford it. U want ur wife to be at home raising ur childrn not working

Big cities where jobs are at but the the price of living there is 10x more counter-acts your income.
I went birmingham for a meal at a resturant, Birmingham is the 2nd city of the Uk after london.
The restaurant was a third of the price it would be at london. Meaning in london if we ate at a similar place it would have cost £400 for the meal, now lets say u dont even live in a city, its exponentially cheaper, even if the jobs dont pay as much.
Ive seen too many ppl get sucked into the rat race in london and 90% of the time they think they are doing good but end up failing. Living simple may seem difficult for some ppl but in reality its the only realistic way to live an islamic life esecially in the west.
Also in big cities there is way more haram and fitna which is not good aswell
