Marital rape, a hidden problem

This is a controversial subject but it's one that needs to be discussed and not brushed under the rug.

For all the men, remember, you may be blessed or have a daughter, would you want her to be brutalised? If not, please read on.

There is a hadith that people often quote, the one about the husband who calls his wife but she refuses and the angels curse her.

Now, this hadith is controversial and often disputed. To women, the most rational explanation and reason is that the husband calling his wife doesn't have to mean for sexual reasons, it could have been to resolve or reconcile a problem.

As you all know the male and female anatomy is not the same, for a woman to enjoy intimacy or not to be in pain, she needs to be lubricated, therefore, she needs to be in a state of pleasure/relaxation.

Imagine your wife is tired/sick/not in the right head space, her body is also going to reflect her mood.

Some "men", still insist on mounting their wives and doing their deed without any account for her comfort.

Is this normal?

If you ignore a "NO" and force yourself on another person this is called "RAPE".

Let me give you an example for how the scenario would be the other way around:

1. You come home tired, or you are injured, your wife tries to have sex with you but you turn her down, she just jumps on you and gets "hers" anyway.
2. You have some discomfort in your genitals and you cannot "perform", your wife snatches your genitals and just jumps on it anyway.

Marital rape is haram. The wife is allowed to refuse sex with the condition if she is on her period or sick.

It is narrated by al-Fataawa al-Islamiyyah, 3/145, 146

"It is not permissible for a husband to force his wife to do more than she is able to bear off intercourse. If she has an excuse such as being sick or unable to bear it, then she is not sinning if she refuses to have intercourse."

However, I disagree with one particular thing you said, sister. The hadith doesn't mean reconciliation. It means the wife must fulfil her husband's sexual needs whenever he calls her to the bedroom. She is not allowed to refuse or else the angels will curse her till morning.

This is narrated by al-Bukhaari, 3065; Muslim, 1436.

Shaykh al-Islam [Ibn Taymiyah] said:

"She must obey him if he asks her to come to his bed, and that is obligatory upon her. If she refuses to come to his bed, she is a defiant sinner."

It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “If a man calls his wife to his bed, and she refuses to come, the angels curse her until morning comes.”

Some women use sex as a weapon and a leverage, withholding it to get what they want and that's what the Hadith is warning against.

Ofcourse no male will bother his Mrs if she genuinely isn't up for it, you have to understand each others bodies.

What kind of person forces themselves on a person who is unwilling??

Do you feel no shame?
Does another person's disinterest or pain turn you on?

Seriously.

Thank you.

A normal man would not bother his wife if she is not interested and vice versa.

Sick can be a headache, stomach ache or any discomfort, it can also be mental distress, stress, anxiety, etc, etc. etc.

Anyone who forces such a person, is a rapist.

Imagine trying to kiss or touch a person who is not responding positively??

I cannot wrap my head around how this can turn a person on.

Or if a person is screaming in pain.

No man forces his wife and this is a non existent problem made up by feminists playing victim and who get off using the victim card

If a woman is sick or on a period or in the month of ramadan, then she can refuse
