I'm dir abaayo and I've been attacked on here for 'claiming' xamar. People here are vicious.

Also people called me a liar for saying my family's land was confiscated and made into federal property without recompense. People here have a twisted history. :/

That's messed up abaayo. The whole problem is that Somalia has very little investment and whatever investment it receives goes to Xamar usually because it's the capital. Unfortunately Maryoole never had a central state until 1960 so it's impossible for us to accept someone's hometown as our capital (they get all the money etc) or in this case for people who aren't even from Xamar but have a big clan link will say it's only ours and no one else's so they can keep all the wealth. The farms were confiscated like OromoProtests and what made it worse was how little farmland existed. The government was trying to cut corners instead of investing in the farmers who would have been loyal to the cause. Socialism was a bad experiment for entrepreneurial people.

@KowDheh in my personal opinion no qabil should have ownership of any land.

In the south people have always lived together and almost every town is extremely diverse. For example our neighbours in jamaame were barawani, and plenty of other non dir qabils. Even these benadiris live everywhere in South somalia. It's sad how the 90s qabil wars are restarting again with federalism.
