How does cooking and cleaning take up half her day? I'm not expecting a 5-star 6-course meal for 10. Cooking won't take more than an hour. Neiher will cleaning. 2 hours at most. Being a housewife definitely isn't easy, but neither is work. The only pitfall of being a housewife is that it isn't stimulating, she should pick up part-time work or a hobby like writing on the side.

A woman with two degrees is not going to be asking you for pocket money. Somali women are doing better than Somali men in education and employment.
