Both parents are AA. My point is that over 60% of AAs descend from the Igbos in Nigeria.

Hmmmm it’s kind of both. Ethiopian Judaism probably has roots in Yemenite Judaism. People also seem to forget that pre-Orthodoxy, Ethiopia practiced a “Hebraic” religion that was definitely an offshoot of Judaism for lack of a better term. The probable truth is that the Beta Israel are a mix of ethnic Jews related to Yemenis from the various back and forths between Ethiopia and Yemen OR they are the offspring of sailors who had returned from Yemen
