Somalis share a common culture and language. The only thing that makes us different is just clan. I don’t see why this is complicated for Somalis to be like the Japanese (who are once divided by clans but became united with culture) Again: I know this is laughable because of how divided Somalis are. Because a government collects taxes which isn’t popular. It builds roads through land which belongs to clans. It provides services such as healthcare and police that might be seen as counterculture to their own.

But if that same government doesn’t provide roads or police then accusations of underdevelopment and favoritism comes out. It could never be Isaac vs Hawiya vs Darod because one will always smoke the others. It would rather be OG president or a MJ president every other year simply because they have the majority.

The only way it’ll work out I guess is full autonomy for Hawiyas around Mogadishu and full autonomy for Isaaq around Berbera. Move the new capital to Zeila to get Dir to buy in and maybe bring Djibouti into the union. A conference for every super project to get buy in from all three such as Damming the Shabelle or making a canal along the Togdheere to control seasonal flooding.

But nooooooo Isaaq must be independent and Hawiyas must be president (of a city).

Like I said Darod will just get stronger and wealthier and wait for the Big Battle.

They all need to be colonized by a superior nation or the UN. Djibouti is the perfect example for those who claim being recognized (SL’s excuse) or stability (Somalians excuse) is hindering their great potential.

DDS is the greatest example of Somali qabyaalad. Despite being a minority they can’t unite like the Tigrayans who have similar pop to Somalis in Ethiopia. Qabyaalad is so deep that diaspora folks like myself will stand by my clan no matter what despite seeing the real world. There is no cure for this except colonization by a superior developed nation or by UN Technocrats.

1. Somalia has no future without gaining control over the Somali Region. It is the most valuable land in Somaliweyn from a natural resources perspective. Having it remain in the hands of our ancient enemies means ceding permanent victory to them. Also, Somalia is the only country in Africa whose geographic center is outside of its borders, this is an unacceptable situation.
2. Ethiopia does not have nuclear weapons. It is defeatable. Many Somalis that are scarred by the 1977 war still think Ethiopia is an untouchable great power, when it is a failing state whose three largest ethnicities are competing to genocide one another. Ethiopia is not Israel.
3. Somalis are building up a massive demographic advantage over other ethnic groups in the horn. By the time the FGS has managed to become a normal state (~2045), we will have a Somali population of 50 million.
4. Divisions within Ethiopia have greatly weakened Ethiopian nationalism. If Somalia were to declare that its borders will be those of the Somali Region, it is doubtful that Amhara and Oromo 20 years from now, when Ethiopian nationalism will have weakened even further, will be willing to engage in a war of epic proportions. Most Amhara and Oromo nationalists, who are on the ascendant despite Abiy's wishes, don't care much if at all about Somali secession.
5. NFD should be ignored. They are basically fine and will be a growing pro Somali force in Kenyan politics. Kenya is a future friend of Somalia's.

Our first priority should be the creation of a strong FGS based in Xamar that is focused almost entirely on foreign affairs and military matters. I want the FGS to be first & foremost a government whose priority is national military power. We need to build an SNA that is a Somali ethnic army that recruits from all clans and especially from the Somali Region.

Winning Somaliweyn is possible and anyone who tells you otherwise is a liar.
Let me reiterate this fact: Ethiopia does not have nuclear weapons.

We’d be higher and better than Ethiopia and Kenya. We’ll have the same economical, technological and entertainment advantage like U.S.A (with Hollywood medias, Silicon Valley and Wall Street journal). We’d be more competitive than other developed nations (U.S.A,China,Japan and U.K). If greater Somalia happened then we’ll be more than a first world country. What’s stopping us for achieving this? Clan issues, the youth relying on elders instead of kids with bright vision, knowledge and future. I know us diasporas are just trying to survive off what we have here in the west. But it’s offensive to me in the amount of advantage we have. Sharing the same culture, language and religion and yet divided by clans and politics. Isn’t this crazy? What’s going on?
