How long until Somalia becomes Safe and Stable

Who says they can’t do both?
You think the Arabs were protesting for us when millions were dying from drought and famine. I don't think they were. We should look after ourselves and our own before we try solve other problems imo. Doesnt mean we cant have empathy for others but lets sort our own shit out first.

I had to laugh when I saw Palestine protests in Somalia. How about you protest against al Shabab you donuts or against the corruption that has made lives a misery.
This is gaza city in Palestine.

the truth is always grey.

yes Arab government are evil but there is a lot of Arabs who send money and aids to Somalia

Protests are done in response to a political/social issue that requires policy changes. It’s a way to tell the government to do better.

How would a protest benefit people dying from drought and famine, which are actually man made? As Somalia’s droughts are becoming more frequent due to this. A country with the longest coastline in Africa and lush greenery in Afgooye and Kismayo shouldn’t have people starving and dying.

I wish it was as simple as black and white but the harsh truth is the rest of the world sees us as a failed state and those crying and virtue signaling for Palestine especially Somalis should understand our own people need even more help. My heart also goes out to those killed in Palestine under the apartheid regime but I am Somali and my people have been dying in millions and need more help than Palestine. You just know these Arab would never hold the same energy for us so I don't see why we should for them.

Its because somalis have a negro mindset. Even tho somalis will deny it. We are just like other madow africans. Arabs would never accept to live like how somalis have been living for the lasr 30 years :francis:
Any dumb person would know that we are not superior to anyone.
Look at Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania etc... Somalis are leaving Somalia to go live in these countries.

I get where you’re coming from. Yes our people need help but whose going to help us if we don’t help ourselves? And I don’t think it’s appropriate to compare Palestinians and Somalis because it’s two completely different scenarios.

I don’t particularly “care” for Arabs (mind you, they’re different and shouldn’t be generalized), yet I still see the injustice that’s going on in Palestine and it moves me. This doesn’t take anything away from how I feel about Somalis suffering in Somalia, or anywhere else. I don’t want people to use oppression Olympics. Its a tactic by white supremacy.

I’ve thought the same thing. If this keeps going on, our land may not even belong to us anymore. It’s happened so many times in history. What makes us think that Somalis cannot be replaced and our land instead ends up in the hands of other people? (it’s beginning to happen).

What makes it even worrisome ,is that Somalis have a hard time grasping with the consequences of 91 to 21.
Regarding the damages inflicted on Somalia and what Somalis had sustained , as insignificant and easily repairable , if that was ever the case
then we could had easily assembled all the scraps and salvage with whatever remains we can , unfortunately it's infeasible to believe in that notion, if we were to place the bricks and start tiling the roof, without laying the foundations,
The core fundamentals to keep it standing , wouldn't the building collapse , falling apart yet again.
Somalia is in that category.
Don't get me wrong, being resilient and determined are the visible strength of Somalis , these are number 1 priorties to uplift one's nation.

Being mentally prepared and strong willed are needed to overcome the obstacles hindering any prospects.

But what is unacceptable are the frequent use of , deflecting from the reality.

The inevitability of ceasing to exist.

It happened and can anywhere , empires had fallen, kingdom crushed and countries extinct , annexed , usurped from time to time , the shift of taking over one territory.
Unfortunately we are in that direction.

It's usually the least discussed topic among Somalis and I get it, the topic may not sooth one ears and bring disconcert , but what is unsettling at the very moment are these kinds of visible threats that are neglectable.

This should be addressed since the fightings and instabilities in Somalia a becoming , not only a proxy between intermediate instigators, but being exploited by various profitors, due to the vulnerable state of conditions, they are a pawn by divide and conquer tactics.
The perfect recipe for a permanent disappearance.
And remember many outsiders irrespective of their nationalities
have this common belief that Somalia would be better without Somalis.

This gives countries like our neighbours the opportunity to operate on this theatre.

That sums up the answers.

SOMALIS ARE SUBSERVIENT NOWADAYS
HOW YOU DESTROY YOUR OWN HOUSE THEN LEND SUPPORT TO OTHERS KNOWING FULL WELL YOU CAN DO SHIT BECOUSE YOU GET BULLIED BY BANTUS AND MEATEATERS WE HAVE NOT BEEN POLITICAL ASTUTE SINCE THE 60s

This takes us back to what you said earlier about how far removed second-generation diaspora are. When you see Somali virtue signaling on TikTok and Twitter for Palestine and comments underneath mentioning Somalia and the plight of our people it's like they are tone-deaf I swear and have no clue about our own suffering. If you cant care about your own people how truthful is your care for the plight of people that are not even your own.

you have good point but most people support Palestine over Somalia because of the al-Aqsa mosque.
