In all honesty it will take something monumental to happen so Somalia could progress.

I think climate change will change somalis (my theory). The country is being hit hard by drought and floods etc. Reality will hit somalis when people start going hungry. This able time to change the culture of somalis to be work orientated etc.

Right now noticeable but not the majority are progressing. Something drastic needs to happen.

You think the Arabs were protesting for us when millions were dying from drought and famine. I don't think they were. We should look after ourselves and our own before we try solve other problems imo. Doesnt mean we cant have empathy for others but lets sort our own shit out first.

They spent billions on aid for Somalia, even that they late Saudi crown have made the 22th of Ramadan 2011 a national day for fundraising for Somalia, Saudis give 60, and the the fundraising went to 50 million, and only in Saudia.

Bahrain, although being wealthy, but they at least donated 3 million. But Gaza whom was going through bad financial situation raised funds and awareness. Egypt and other countries send supplies to Somalia, even Lebanon send something.

Internationally, US ~67 millions, Venezuela 5 millions, China 16 million, Turkey "you know what they did", Azerbaijan and Indonesia helped with humanitarian worker, etc.

We are already Quasi Stable , we are just dealing with Alshabab menace in the Shabelle region. They have already lost alot of land, i expect the next administration to fully displace them from all medium sized towns.

Somalia in the last 10 years has stabilised in all major population centres, the next 10 years will remove all militants and we will finish the political constitution. In the 2030s we will heavily be focused on development and extracting resources. In the 2040s I expect us to be a strong power in the horn coinciding with the population of Somalis in the horn to reach 50-70 million.

Nothing happens over night, my advice is to focus on yourself and your happiness. Come back to Somali in your 40s and help invest in pivotal sectors.
