How long do you plan on living in the west

Do you think he was trolling me? I legitimately don't understand how you could've misunderstood so damn badly. I actually think he might've been.
I doubt it. Maybe he misread something. Who knows. Just try to be less reactive when posting and maybe it will happen less. At the end of the day this is just a forum originally used to compare xaalow recipes with each other. It’s never that serious walaloo.

Wallahi I don't know what're your on about bro, my friends live in Sharjah and they always told me about power cuts, it's one of those famous things about Sharjah.

Your friends just wanted to shit on the emirate. I don't remember there ever being a power cut in sharjah. Its 1000% not a common thing. First time im hearing about this budina thing too. I live close to that area lel. Its a small area and pretty trashy and looks like its only few buildings that got affected and this is because their cable was bad and couldnt take it. Not to mention their bad equipment. I wouldn't expect much from the slum of sharjah.

Dubai is aight. I like it. Has its perks. Ain’t no place like America tho :rejoice:

I have a couple of Somali friends who moved to the states like Seattle and California because they found high-salary jobs. They were software engineers. I have noticed successful Somalis living in Toronto tend to immigrate to the states. It's just their gun law, police brutality and attitude towards Muslims is what bothers me when I think of that country.

The thing is police brulality is overstated cuz whenever anything goes wrong the media will cover it but you never hear about when it goes smoothly.

Toronto niggas disgust me. They’re all uber drivers or security guards. Someone needs to nuke Dixon off the map :fittytousand:

Shoutout to the successful ones tho.

In Britain you can easily get into university as there are so many but it's tough in Canada.
Bro no it’s not. Wallahi, everyone can walk into a University. You’re mistaking it for America. Canadian unversities have large acceptance rates. If you can’t get into University in Canada you’re actually a bum, no cap.

Edit: the issue is not getting in, it’s staying in. Thus the large dropout rate of Somali men in Universities. I knew one who dropped out of a Engineering program to pursue a career in law enforcement. And by law enforcement I mean Airport Security. :hemad:

You'll find plenty of educated Somalis but they mostly live in the suburbs of Toronto. It's just the ones from the ghetto projects ruin it for us, smh. However, the new generation are less worse than the older one so that means the community is slowly improving so that's a good news.

I have found my luck in Dubai, alhamdulillah. The salary I won't disclose but it'll leave people's jaw-dropping alhamdulillah again. I'm grateful to Allah and I can't wait to have kids, inshallah.

I have friends from Toronto that make a great living in the states. Doctors and whatnot. They stay above the bullshit and are fine. :nvjpqts:

Yeah, the suburban ones seem to be well adjusted and successful. The younger generations in Dixon, Weston, The Jungle and the East End seem to see where they’ll end up if they continue the trend of their siblings or cousins. InshaAllah, the trend reverses and this stereotype dies off.

Maybe a change of country might help those who have been left behind.

how much do you need to live in the UAE? Comfortably?
Might have to stay here :hova::jcoleno:

It gets more expensive the more family members you have. Also its different from state to state. In ajman im sure you will live nicely with 1.5 k dollars and more. In sharjah its around 2k dollars and more. Dubai is probably a bit higher.
