Somali clan lineages and ties are bs in my opinion (partially a fact). When clans have fights they would claim outside clan to have upperhand.. we saw how some somalis recently were claiming oromo to be one of them since that could give them advantage

The Somali lineage is extremely important because it is the very essence of identity. Without it, we cannot distinguish who is Somali and who is not. Establishing a sound understanding that we are all brothers would curb tribal bigotry. Siad Barre tried to eliminate the concept of lineage and clan but failed. Had he instead taught them the correct lineages while instilling Islamic morals in schools, we would not be in the situation we are in today.

The whole world had tribalism, could u imagine China or England still practicing yet being where they are now? Using tribalism for identification of somalinimo isn't a solution and just a way to justify attachment to tribalism and it's ignorance. We live in the 21st century so there are countless way to Id someone (this should be very obvious)

That's literally not possible with a tribalist society since tribalism nurtures fragmentation. There is a Somali maahmaah that goes 'it's my clan vs other clans, then my clan vs my lower clan, then me vs my brother' or something like that

And just because sayid methods to minimize qabil doesn't mean it's a hopeless endeavor
