Have you ever met a Somali atheist or a Christian?

I honestly never came across a Somali who denounced Islam in any form, but lately I have noticed so many White guys on the internet and forums claiming to be Somali and Gaal.

I have no problem with anyone's choices of religon but why can't they public speak up and show their faces so I would start to believe there are few of them, we all live in the west, why hide behind the keyboard?

My question is did any one of you ever came a cross or met a Somali atheist or a Christian?

You say they live in the West and that these people shouldn't hide but do you really think an outspoken Somali atheist in public is safe in a place where there is a muslim majority or even minority. Look at Ayan who has to have security with her 24/7. Doesn't also help that the religion calls for the deaths of apostates.

Ayan Hirsi has an agenda and gets paid promoting atheisim within Somali community.

She disrespected Muslims around the world by making that short film, even if I record a video like that about Christianity I will be slaughtered like a sheep.

The only athiest Somalis that I've met are half Soamli and half someting else, most are half Italian, with tthe mother being Somali and the father being non-somali. As for Christian Somalis, go and ask reer Djibouti and reer Somaliland, they seem to have the largest populations.

Many atheists/agnostics pretend to be Muslim in real life to avoid the stigma. You may not even be able to tell.

The Christian ones are more open about it, but they are much rarer because people tend to go from Islam to irreligion not from Islam to Christianity.

First of all Christianity is a downgrade compared to Islam and most Somalis who became agnostic or atheist usualy do so because:

A. They are gay
B. They drink alcholic beverages or are into drugs.

There absolutely no other reason for a Somali to be gaal beside those two reasons,when you talk to atheists you can sense their sexual orientation(Khanis) is the underlying issue they have against Islam.

I use to know a Somali girl who called herself atheist but she afterwards told me she really wanted to get back on her salat and deen, so I'm not really counting her.

I think many ex-Muslim Somalis, especially the ones who allegedly discard religion altogether, are in the midst of a phase. Some people sleep around and others join streets gangs; they take perhaps the edgiest route and declare themselves to be proud murtads.


Also, with the rise of depression and other mental illnesses in this new age, many have strayed away and have succumbed to the whisperings of shaytaan. May Allah (swt) help them.
