Lol there are no Semites, Habeshis themselves are cushitic but language shifts, with a little arab admix. Many of what are now called Hararis were muslims who were displaced by the habeshi raids. Harar was established by Somalis. Heres an informative post about it;Hararis are Semites and are close to Tigray and amharas not somalis
The Harari are a composite people. When Harar became the capital of the Sultanate of Adal it was a small town like Dakkar was, smaller even. Nur ibn Mujahid built strong walls to protect Harar from attack after the Amhara attacked Harar in 1559. During the Abyssinian invasions and Oromo raids, refugees flooded into Harar from all directions and the city ballooned in size and the city walls were entirely filled. This led to a mixed and diverse population of all the tribes of the Ahmar mountains.
Nur ibn Mujaid, in order to stabilize the situation in the city and prevent ethnic strife, ordered everyone in the city to abandon their abtirsi and nasab and be one tribe. This is how the Harari came to be. There are from a dozen different backgrounds, including Somali.
The population of Harar includes most of the tribes who used to populate the entire Ahmar range, including Xarla, Argobba, Hargaya, Gidaya, Gaturi and a dozen more. The largest sub-group of Harari are Gaturi, not Xarla. The Gaturi were once a strong kingdom that inhabited the western slope of the Ahmar Mountains.
The burned cities of the Harari progenitors can be found in ruins across the Ahmar mountains, a sad relic of another age.

Youre right walashey. Starting with @Gucci mane 's harari's ass, I think this forums been infiltrated. It’s an anon forum, maybe they’re habeshi.
The Somali music was good. The audio quality tho...The musicians made better music because of the civil war.
I think Somalis made good music way back — no need to compare.
Somalis took it and brought it to Yemen thorough berbera and ziela

They're just habeshas mixed with a few other ethnics. Their language is completely different too. They resemble more with Ethios than Somalis. What's wrong with hararis they are practically somali themselves in every possible way

Right, ok. Yh there a bunch of begs on social media that need to get their wifi cut off ngl.Culturally hararis are closer to Somalis. When it comes to language and identity, they are closer to habeshas. Their language is semitic, part of the eastern Gurage branch. They used the arabic script for centuries but now switched to Ge'ez Ethiopian/Eritrean script. They identify as Ethiopians. In fact because they are being confused for Somalis often, they mostly insist that they are Ethiopians and not Somalis. Most Somalis (at least on social media) want to force them to accept "their Somali identity" Some Somalis also think hararis will stand with Somalia against Ethiopia which is a delusional. Anyway, hararis are proud Ethiopians.
The relation between the Harari people and other Ethiopian ethnic groups weren't great in the past. Their relations are much better today, but in the greater historical context, I would describe it as dynamic.Culturally hararis are closer to Somalis.
