What a great day for Puntland and Somalia bright future ahead. Puntlanders across the globe have invested in Gaarcad to make the dream a reality.

This wonderful, this needs to be repeated with various other projects all over PL.

Does anyone know roughly how much the total amount was? Also did the Turkish company hire local Puntites to work on the project with them?

Yes they hired locals
So far about 150, 000,000
150 Million Dollars spent
Total cost of Garacad Port will be 315 000, 000
315 million Dollar

Alhamdulillah and Mashallah. This is beautiful, the fact they hired locals is the best part. We need to replicate this everywhere. This will provide jobs as well. :it0tdo8:

I think PL should hire North Korean contractors for future projects instead Turkish ones as it would much cheaper too. They work for pennies and are really good at making Ports, Dams and other various heavy industrials projects that are needed ASAP all throughout PL and Somaliweyn. Some of the bridges and dams that were co-built with North Korea in Somalia back in the 70's are still functioning. This would save Somalia and PL lot of money and would lower Turkish influence

Look at the dam that was built by both N. Koreans and Somalis in Balad, it's still standing and functiong.
:banderas:

Look at what they've done in a mere 5 months while being sanctioned to hell by everyone in the world. These indhoyar don't play.

Galkacyo will be the center of DDS agriculture trade. We won't need to get our fruits/vegetables from the south, I also think ethiopia fruits/vegs are better quality and standard due to a government operating there and applying universal standards, once we get rid of the FOWDO south produce, it will help our people's health.

Manshallah Garacad port is an example for all Somalis to follow.

Majeertens keep breaking the boundaries
Beesha Absame needs to invest in their coastal deegans as well, starting with the expansion of Kismayo port and Ras Kamboni port

@SPMLegend I wish we could build a canal from DDS river into galkacyo. It seems impossible now but we will continue to push the boundaries for Somali. The next realistic goal will be a railway between garacad into DDS and Oromia markets.
