The far left and right on the political spectrum will always be polarizing, and race in America is definitely a polarizing topic. Simply because of this dynamic, ppl on this thread really take that to mean theyre’ll be some kind of apocalyptic, destabilizing event that’ll occur and have widespread impact on the world at large, as if racial unrest hasn’t practically been a cyclical event in American history, and as if race riots klan parades and civil rights protests haven’t always been at a head.
The political climate now is nothing compared to the American past, nor are most Americans at its fringes.

In quick succession, in about the last 15 years, America passed bills on gay rights/marriage, had discussions about about ‘trans’ rights, elected a black president, revisited conversations on civil issues and police training, had the first female candidate to win the popular vote, has record numbers of women running for Congress, the women’s march, etc etc the list can go on and on. What’s happening in America right can be simplified into the popular culture moving quicker than a portion of the population that feels left behind and dejected.
