FGS cabinet signs off on Turkish Naval agreement, which is to be implemented within 24 hours!

That is why I keep saying, why HAG vote for him:hmm:.
My first post on this site was to warn Puntland and inform them that the Hawiye in power and isaaq have been heavily colonised and at times at a level close to slavery. In the colonised brain they can never find a solution but to beg the colonisers. For instance most countries gain independence based on ethnicity, tribe or a religious conflict. And yet these hopeless isaaq continue to worship the British Somali protectorate and believe they can achieve independence. I am not surprised, they will sell anything.

You are the most truthful and informative guy on this forum when it comes to these topics and I will take your word but I have a question does all this depend on whether or not the president and government remain well behaved and combat corruption?

I don’t see HSM returning for a third term to be frank. He just wants his last two remaining years to expire without losing half of the country, and his recent actions have ensured that. However, a Leopard can’t change its spots, and all of the flaws that makes him an unsuitable leader in ANY country in the West or Asia are still very much there, so expect nepotism and belligerence against State institutions to continue for the next two years.

Somalia is currently failing forwards, its suffering from corruption, but its progressing in a manner where a future successor still has a good foundation to built upon and propel the country to prosperity.

This was not the case in previous decades, which is why the country is starting from such a low base to the point where it needs an ally to protect its EEZ.

Guys what is this??? People are claiming the Somalia- Turkish agreement is not a military pact. If this is true, it is wild.
U guys were delusional for thinking it was a military pact or weren’t aware of what a military pact entails. Turkey won’t sign a military pact as it simply doesn’t benefit them, a military pact is only viable if both parties are capable of defending each other in the face of conflict. So it doesn’t make sense for turkey to get into a military pact with a nation that has little to no military power and expect them to defend Türkiye ,only vice versa can occur. Also Turkey is in the NATO defence pact and has the most powerful nations defending them if they are ever attacked and so there is no need to get into other defence pacts especially with Somalia.

All Somalis were colonised, some are even occupied to this day. And asserting that certain clans were borderline enslaved is simply not true but is indicative of the lengths of your sickening qabyaalad. Ilaahey haku caafiyo.

The reality hasn’t set in for some that this MILITARY pact is NOT beholden to public opinion, be it domestic or foreign, its already ratified by the Parliament and President, and therefore operational. Individuals like the one you are quoting are still in that mindset where ‘propaganda’ might reverse the agreement or cause other states to put pressure on Turkey. None of that is happening or will happen, and in the case it does happen, it will not matter.

The fact that a university lecturer is referred to as a ‘Turkish Official’ tells you everything you need about that tweet. And similar to that fake official letter from Turkey, take this with a grain of salt, its inconsequential.

They are building us a navy, we can’t expect them to fight our battles but at least we have a navy when it comes to the time

They will fight for Somalia, that is the whole point of this defense pact, which also includes Drone technology for the Somali Armed Forces. No hostile foreign navy will be allowed to enter Somali waters, refusal to comply would be considered ‘piracy’ according to UNCLOS and is subject to legal lethal force approved by the Somali sovereign, which is the FGS. They will apply Turkey’s Blue Homeland Doctrine to Somalia’s waters and will set up a similar doctrine for the Somali Navy.

Turkey has major plans for Somalia, ranging from military cooperation, to reconstruction, to industrial parks, to space ports to energy extraction. It does not care about the sensitivities of its neighbours if Somalia ends up becoming the major regional power as a result of Turkey’s assistance. The couple of billions they have invested in Somalia’s neighbours is pocket change compared to their long term plans.

We have history with them. Where those train in xamar?
That’s not on turkey though. If yk what actually happened to them it’s really messed up. i don’t want to derail the thread but let’s just say after the soldiers came back to LA and said what happened (few hundred came back to fight off secessionist). Ciil iya qabtay .

That is false. The reason why I highlighted the extent of colonisation is because Colonisation is effectively mental slavery which needs time to implement. Majeerteen for example where only defeated by Italy in 1930 through complete warfare. Italian control lasted for 10 years till the 1940s the majority of which was a war period. In that same period they also at one point gained controll of the whole of East Africa before the British eventually defeated them and took control of Somalia. This is evident because people constantly refer to this region as Majeerteenia.

The reason why the region was called that was due to the MJ kingdom there. Also other that wasn’t the case for other darood subs plus MJs were nonetheless colonised however less it maybe. Also Italian colonialism was stronger in the south(around the capital) even central Somalia clans enjoyed some what of independence.

Turkey to build spaceport in Somalia as part of $1B space program - Daily Sabah

Turkey could establish a spaceport in Somalia with a $350 million investment as part of its nascent space program that will cost upward of $1 billion, the Middle East Eye (MEE) reported Thursday.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced Turkey's plans to land on the moon by 2023in a news conference earlier this month during the inauguration ceremony of the country's National Space Program.

"Our first goal is to land on the moon by 2023, the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey. I believe Turkish engineers will manage to carry out this mission," he said.

The report in MEE, citing a Turkish source, said that the government plans to construct a rocket launch site in Somalia. The African country already hosts Turkey’s largest military training base and has enjoyed great relations with Ankara in all fields since 2011.

"The government’s draft calculations suggest establishing and maintaining the spaceport in Somalia would cost more than $350m. The government also aims to allocate grants for Turkish doctoral students to go abroad to study astrophysics, and will provide research and development funding for Turkish universities, altogether for around $150m," the MEE article noted.

Turkish-Somali relations have experienced great success over the years, and as part of their strategic cooperation, Turkey has trained one-third of Somalia's military forces.
