The columnist is most likely less informed about Uber driving then Uber drivers I don’t put too much weight into there opinions and biases and can think for my self although you aussies are still under great influence of the MSM
It should be made taboo to not succeed in education, and to not have a decent job that requires one.

In all honesty you have to be a genuine fool to get into nursing (in the UK at least). Overworked and underpaid except when it comes to lip service from MP's and the public. I really respect and I can't tell you how bad I feel for them, I swear to god the trash collectors in London have an easier life and still get similar pay, I know more Uber drivers whizzing around Nissan Micra's who get paid more. I just can't fathom why anyone would want to take that job, you may as well be a refuse collector for a local council area than enter the shitty world of nursing. Status ain't good but your not stuck in that shitty field.
Not really, the way to move up the ladder is being an entrepreneur which doesn’t require education, education only provides dead end jobs with a set salary that won’t move you up more then incrementally

I think your not getting the point here, degrees are literally worthless and contribute very little to what you earn, most Harvard grads already had jobs setup pre going to school(daddies job/connections) and the degree didn’t affect it at all if they didn’t go they would be in the same situation, the general population in the US is almost all lower class, small minority upper class, also nba owners aren’t writing checks, nba players generate there contracts themselves through tv as revenue lol did you think they were using personal money
