No one has a choice back home. You have to wear it.Atleast I shave off my plats and and get a decent haircut when i’m going back home. And I leave my saqajaan antics in the UK. I don’t care whether you wear a hijab or not abroad but atleast where one when your going back home.
Women should not be forced to wear hijab.I think since we are muslim nation we should enforce it.
What?why? islam isn't predicated on sharia law
May Allah(Subhanahu wa Ta’ala) grant us this.May Allah protect us from secularism, May Allah take down all secularists, may peace prevail in Somalia under sharia law.
Ameen.
It’s not Bidah. You are clearly confused. Secularism goes against Islam.governments aren't a religious authority and shouldn't be applying shariah law nor do they have any religious authority or superiority over us, I can understand a caliphate but a government shouldn't since its technically bidia, which is why they should be secular
Goodbye the Somali race*What I don't understand is why Somali Muslim Men are so fucking concerned if Somali women wear hijab in Somalia.
I think Somalia has the highest (forced) hijab compliance rates in the world, but the country is still a 9th world underdeveloped nation. So clearly Somali women not wearing hijab is the problem. I also see a big issue with women wearing heavy jilbaabs that cause them heatsroke and was not manufactured to be in complliance with the somali weather/environment. But Somali men can wear a macawis and a tanktop ( REGIONAL APPROPRIATE CLOTHING) during the summer heat. Utter bullshit. That's what bothers me most about 'Hijab/Abaya' in Somalia. The Women getting heatstroke and literally suffering.
Why can't our useless men keep the same energy for fighting poverty and corruption. I simply do not understand the obsession with how women dress in Africa, when there's bigger issues.
But I also blame the women for simply falling in line into their own oppression.
If all Somali women unite past tribal lines, honestly we can take the country lol. Most educated, open minded and disciplined people in Somalia are the women, we are also the numerical majority.
Alas.
Actually I would argue since men DON’T have to wear hijab they have no say in this discussionAlmost all the girls arguing in this thread have clearly indicated that they don't wear hijab. They have no say in this discussion.
