They mostly fail to see the main backbone of the Ethiopian state and hence every time some crisis happens they think the state is about to collapse. Believe me the current state and army will not hesitate to march to any regional state including Amhara with the support of majority of Ethiopians if the state is threatened. The federal state is not based on one ethnic group.

Simple as that. There will be no federal system that will stand at the expense of the lives of Amhara civilians. That system is dead on arrival and marked for destruction. Beshangul Gumuz state should show that it is a viable state by protecting its citizens from attacks otherwise this state will be dismantled sooner or later. What we see currently in Beshangul Gumz is a permanent genocide and ethnic cleansing being committed against innocent civilians that is going for more than 2 years. And this happens in Metekel zone, a zone that was taken from Gojjam 30 years ago. These people did not settle from other areas, these people were living in their ancestral land Gojjam which 30 years ago suddenly was called Beshangul Gumz and now they are being massacred.

Unless the so called supporters of ethnic federalism stop their terrorism, genocide and ethnic cleansing, the system will soon collapse and destroyed. Ethnic federalism is used to terrorize innocent civilians and commit ethnic cleansing. Such system is anti-peace and breeds only terrorists and must be dealt with. In the last 4 years alone some 3 million civilians were displaced because of this evil system. Any system that produces this kind of destruction must face its fate and be dismantled.
