Do you guys view mixed Somali's as Somali?

Do Somali people adhere to the one drop rule? I've seen both sides, one part that embraces mixed Somali's and one side that doesn't view them as Somali's at all. Idk what do you guys think?

Also some ethnicities are more accepted than others, if your half white or half arab you'd probably be more exepted then someone who is half filipino or half african american

There are a lot poping up near me. I see them as Somali and treat them as a brother/sister of the community but It's hard to explain, I don't feel like they are a true Somali. Get way I mean? They less they look Somali the more I feel they are not a true Somali.

For me it depends, if the kids know af somali and Dhaqan. I wont see them as full somalis biologically, but as half somalis who embraced their mothers or fathers heritage.

I am not in favour of mixing for obvious reasons, but I would never hate on the kids or their parent.

Please no gaalo, if they want to marry outsiders then muslims should be the only option. Cant imagine having half somali kids running around with gaalo dhaqan, worshipping other gods and eating pig.

They are half Somali. They are as much of a Somali as they are what ever they are mixed with. So no, they are their own thing

Amiin! No im from Canada and yeah my co worker's husband was Somali the woman doesnt even know how to take care of their hair properly like theres no moisture in their hair at all! and another one im related to both are married to filipino's

It depends on the mix, whether or not they have a qabiil, how they look, and if they follow our diin and dhaqan. A half indho yar or half Madow is automatically disqualified by virtue of having a butt face.

A half habesh, cadaan or Arab has a chance if they can pass as Somali and fulfill said requirements. I mean, they will never be Somali but we can pretend that they are whenever they're around.
