Don't worry about @FBIsomalia they don't have anything going for them since the pirate business was foiled:pachah1:

And Dahabshiil said that their goal now is to become the Statoil, Shell etc. of Africa after their investment.
Your companies going to PL market cause triangle state market is pointless. Markaas relax kid.

HJ did big deal here and Dhulbahante lose big time here.

This seems to be more of an acquisition. Dahabshiil essentially performed a hostile takeover and now owns 70% of the new company covering both Somaliland and Somalia.

Dahabshiil people first came for Caynabo.
Now they also took Hass too.

Allaylehee Isaaq baa mulkiyey maaxdii Haas.

Your understanding of the business world seems to be lacking. Using words like hostile take over in a joint deal with a subsidiary of HASS based in SL :snoop:.

Hopefully both companies will continue to expand and grow their influence in the HOA. Let's not tribalise business and innovation in the Somali regions!

It’s really a uniquely Somali character to fight over some shit that don’t even personally belong to them, but identify with it on clan basis : It’s not like Dahabshiil gives dividends to their respective clan meme era neither do Haas. Looks like Somali will be more comfortable for a foreign corporate take over their business but will feel stung if another fellow Somali takes over just for simply due to some idiotic clan ego. Instead of trying to hold these owners to corporate responsibility to invest back into the communities they reap from, I see young learned men mostly in diaspora here foaming at your mouth, on who took over who.Who cares ? Although they have some benefit for the local economy but as an individual dwelling in the west, do these owners even knows you ?

There is no place for feminine emotions in business, you guys need to accept this deal is also beneficial for Hass Petroleum. Your little 30% stake of the company will be more profitable than the previous arrangements you had.

Also no need for misinformation, it is actually a subsidiary of Dahabshiil (Dahabshiil Oil) that struck the deal with Hass Petroleum, acquiring a majority 70% stake:

This is so stupid is not even worth responding to.
How is it stupid, name another Somali company worth billions or another Somali company constructing (though currently on hold) the largest tower in Africa, name another Somali company that boasts as many employees as Hass, name another Somali company that operates in 12 or so countries. Name another Somali company that has a real estate branch, a fisheries branch, a petroleum branch and a new airplane cargo/commercial airline branch.

Of course… I will wait :mjswag: :win:

Don’t be disingenuous, the 70% stake is for Hass operations in the somaliland region of Somalia, not the rest of Somalia. They also have operations with other states but not a deal like this if that makes sense :nvjpqts:

This is a great deal either way, this not only will bring jobs and generate revenue but it will lead to market expansion for Hass petroleum that currently operates in a dozen or more countries.

Lol again this a deal regarding Hass operation in SL and Somalia not the Hass group which has operations across east Africa. They’ve done similar deals in a few countries to continue expanding. It’s part of the business model they’ve used for many years now.

Regardless this a good deal for both companies.

Refer to my previous post
Hass invests in and develops the SSC all the time and employs many skilled Somalis, this is good news because it means they’re expanding their market

Generally, to do a hostile takeover you have to be worth more than that company. Hass as of right now is the largest Somali company in history, it could buy dahabshill if it wanted.

If that’s the case why are they minority stakeholder in this new venture? Hass has everything, the equipment, the expertise, the network and definitely the finances. Dahabshiil only has the finances, which Hass doesn’t even need. Even if Dahabshiil pays 100% of the finances, 30% stake is not enough value of what Hass brings to the table. Let adeerkaa renegotiate

Haamo shiidal ayu Dahabshil ka sameyay Berbera. Hass doesn’t have its own oil storage facility in Somaliland, hence why Dahabshil is involved in this new operation in Somaliland.

Nonetheless I would renegotiate too.

Because SL is Dahabshills turf, they get to make the demands and negotiations, Dahabshill didn’t come to them, Hass came to them. This agreement will only be enforced in somaliland.

As stated @5:40 the agreement cover Hass operations in Somaliland AND Somalia.

I think it’s something to do with the Developed Berbera port and gateway market to Ethiopia . Haas sees the potential and willing to give up the larger share .They both are privately owned companies and business who are we to ask them to renegotiate ?

This documentary gives context behind the operations in Somaliland.
The expansion will be Ethiopia in which Somaliland will be a part of through the Berbera corridor.

Maasha Allah, the company is big and with potential : Proud to see a company owned by individuals of Somali ethnicity this influential. The Kenyan reporter alludes to mention that it’s Kenyan based company but with far reaching effect in the continent. On the other hand my young Somali nephews here are fighting over whose clan owns what company : “Adeer Reer hebel iyo fadhi kudiriirka kakora” Even the young Somali CEO is proud to be a Kenyan be a proud Somali. You got to know as an ethnic Somali you have a far reaching effects in Eastern and Horn of Africa
