Civil war enters second year in Ethiopia

Abiy's side seems to be open to negotiations, and the tigrayan side too, but what will be the pre-conditions or conditions for such talks? what will be the demands of both sides? the amhara forces will not be happy, and seeing as they are abiy's main support base, can he afford to alienate them? at the same time, if the western countries enforce sanctions and withhold aid, which ethiopia depends on, abiy may not have a choice.

Abye is a pathological liar he just wants to stall the war so that he can buy time to regroup and re organise better and also break TDF as some are diehards who want no negotiations with him.

He benefits too, because amhara nationalists, who otherwise may go after his seat of power, and former tplf elites who were powerful, are now at war, weakening each other, instead of going after him.

If this war continues for a yeaŕ more Amhara region will be destroyed factories, businesses, farms and lives.

Even the drones are killing amhara civilians in the villages.Seems like by the end of the war both Tigrayans and Amhara would be worn out and very weak.

Afaworki has taught Abye the art of divide and conquer.
