Brits guessing how much healthcare costs in America

Not even about selfish, assume you make 80k a year, most likely medical cost in the US will be like what 4K max? Would you rather that than pay say 50 percent of your income through taxes? Aka a 40 k loss?
yes you are benefiting from that. But the Average US person which means lower middle class and middle class would benefit more from M4a financially.
And btw thats not how taxes work either just because its 40% doesnt mean 40% from your paycheck

Seems like most people dont really understand how marginal tax and income tax work, maybe thats why they are so frightned by Bernie and Corbyn:cryinglaughsmiley:

Now let’s assume the opposite, I don’t work and collect unemployment, I get hit it’s an expensive 100k worth injury, in this case it would be tax prices vs insurance costs and possibly taxes can cost net less then the 5k average for insurance but not by much

Some do after certain level of income threshold
The highest you will ever pay in the UK is 40% and that's if you've got a high income.

In Scotland you're forced to pay a whopping 41% more if you earn a sizable income. So oppressive to all the rich and future rich folks.

Rather pay more in taxes, knowing everyone gets their basic needs like, healthcare and education, so everyone has their basic necessities to reach their full potential. There is a reason nordic countries work so well. But niggas like @Tukraq rather wants his taxes to go blow up some brown kids as long as its low because he MIGHT become a millonaire.

No way!!!, cant believe he only has a couple of millions left how is he gonna survive? :(

@AussieHustler is healthcare free in Australia? If no, cancel my flight.

@Knowles

Yep, it is free and depends on means test, if you earn above the threshold, then you are forced to pay a special tax on Medicare. Having said that, the system is clogged thereby there is a very long que for dental services and simple operations. If you are insured, you access them immediately.

Universal healthcare would never work in America, the healthcare industry is too powerful, take for example United Health Care, the company made 226 billion last year, you don’t think they’re influencing politicians? The way I see it, it’s best to fight a battle you can win.

The hospitals sue poor patients and take them to court. When newspapers run articles of the cruelty of American Healthcare system, they backtrack. This is happening all over the country and southern states have the worst case of the poor dying for lack of basic healthcare. America is a shit-hole when it comes to Healthcare. It doesn't even matter nowadays if you are ensured through your work because companies are asking their employees to foot most of the bill every year. The system will collapse eventually when average Americans ignore the bills sent to them by hospitals.

Nowadays they have something called "surprise bills" scheme to make money out of people with insurance. You go see a doctor out of network through your network. Supposedly this pre-arranged appointment you got through your hospital should not result in any extra bills because you followed the rules of staying within network right? Then suddenly the doctor you saw sends large sum of money as a bill to your insurance, Insurance pays some and the rest you are stuck with it because at this point there is no law governing how much that out of network can charge.

Us congress wanted to fix this problem but investment group bought ads on televisions worth 20 million to tell ignorant Americans US CONGRESS wants to set ratings and that is socialism. Then the effort to fix that surprise bill failed within days. Americans in many ways deserve what happens to them and I can tell you many are under duress and stress. Most are in debt. And I am talking about average citizen who works and pays taxes. This group, the middle class pays the taxes whilst corporations pay zero including Amazon. I mean, come on, where in the world does a trillion dollar and more worth company pays no federal taxes?

The people who commented America has good healthcare must live in a cave. Their quality of medicine is not even that great.
