I never understood the hate for long hair, if we’re blessed with curls why chop them smh
I have a similar hair texture and I use a deep conditioner once a week and it went from an Afro to curls don’t straighten it it kills your hair

I always maintained myself when it comes to psychical health .
But when it comes to hairline I've attempted multiple times to grow my hair long or afro then dreadlocks, but I ended up with severe failure looking like the somali version , at this stage I've made a strong decision go fully bald lol and wear a fucking cap smh can't even get a decent fade
As Somalis we are a cursed with this
But having dreadlocks is my ultimate dream instead most of us of looking like nacalatullah but I've seen people even worse than me

no hate but have you considered scalp micropigmentation?
Has no side effects and is relatively safe. Just rock a beard, hit the weights and you'll look real good no homo. If you can't grow a beard, just get to low bodyfat and show off a chiseled jawline.

I have considered getting it done
if not done rapidly the recessive hairline can further recede, there are facilities here in SA that specialise hair implantations but the prices are ridiculously skyrocketing
best option is a one way flight to Turkey as many people have recommended and lot of positive results over there.
Despite the positive feedbacks from many somalis that underwent procedures
Im still learning if patients had any side effects at all.
Honestly I wouldn't recommend hair transplant or finistride to regrow hair. Apparently hair transplants are temporary and it comes with severe itching, redness and other side effects. Finistride gives you heart palpitations and other internal health consequences.
The safest bet is the micropigmentation imo. It'll look nice and you won't have to worry about it too much. Just don't be a retard and make it look too obvious(like lower your hairline similar to what an 8 year old kid has ).
At the end of the day, its up to you. Just choose the lowest risk solution, don't f*ck with your health
My hairs weird it’ll be jileec and curly but if I leave the curls they’ll loc up and become dreads since the curl is so tight
