You have a lot of faith in Farmaajo or the government sxb. He can't do jack. They call him marti ffs and the nigga couldn't even do shit about a known murderer because HG said we will overthrow the govenrment. He gotta walk around on ukun shells every damn day.

Somali is in disarry at the moment, meaning the country is very very vulnerable right now, hence why Ethiopia all the sudden has shares in somali ports, kenya have their troops there and is attempting to steal both land and sea.

For him to consolidate power, he'll need to estabalish an army and he was told he couldn't do that either, there is still arms embargo, the people in hamar consider him a marti. Arabs brought their bickering to him, alshabab is still there, there is amisom etc.. What can he do? There is simply too much for anyone person to change, now imagine fixing all that when you aren't allowed to or have zero support.

I am not a fun of him but it's very naive to think he can change anything.

I don’t expect him to turn us into the geeski of Africa overnight but as long as he doesn’t abdicate to the whims and desires of UAE I’ll stay by his side. The aftermath of the zoobe attack gave us a glimpse of a united Somalia and the youths of Xamar answered his call for volunteers in droves. Imagine that the elders of these youths are saying the president is a guest in Mogadishu but their own kids is signing up to give their blood for their country. Obviously, it’s a process and we will have bumps along the road like we have seen with clan militias abandoning their posts.

All I want from Farmaajo is to successfully get AMISOM out by 2021. That should be his main goal because it is an instrument used to keep us down and divided by providing cover to stooges who destabilize the country.

What do you mean?

I am very introspective, so I will always blame myself or my immediate subclan before I blame outsiders. My point was to show you the inconsistency of some members: on one hand they say SFG has the mandate to deal with foreign countries and here they are calling out on Madoobe to do something about it. I am blaming Marehan because they abandoned their regions. Xamar bey ku waasheen and they're called guests :manny:

As for Farmaajo, he is a 'shoowiiste' as my fob friend once said. Abdiweli Sheikh would've made us proud
You are very grossly misinformed about the so called MX leadership or lack there of my friend there was one group in Xamar anti Jubbaland led by Barre Hiiraale when Xasan Sheikh was there they are all dispersed now why would MX be going crazy for Xamar if Farmajo or SFG doesn't fund them? a peace deal was reached with JL brokered by Abdiweli Sheikh so they went home no reason to have ties to Xamar dude cause there's no more money coming in anymore the other group controls most of Gedo and they are in Kismaayo with Madoobe I don't know where you get your info from dude but anyways you have not answered my hypothetical question to you I'm interested in your answer

How can he remove AMISOm out of somalia by 2021? For that to be possible, he'd need to have plans in motions as we speak and I don't see any. He was even on video a few months ago saying SNA should work for free. Does that sound like a man who can remove amisom out in 3 years? I doubt it.

A somali army is a must for anything to be done and I don't recall it all but didn't Ethiopia say you can only train 18k soldier? not more.
Anyways, the point is he isn't free to do as he wants, he has no support from within or out of the country. By 2021, we'll see larger number of amisom if anything.

I understand your frustration. But remember all politics are local. I hope Marehan finds solution to this impasse. As for your hypothetical question, I refrained from it because Galdogob is not an MJ city, however if it was Burtinle, I would blame the mjs in burtinle before I blame anyone else. I blame the dhulbahantes for the SSC fiasco and I blame MJs for the reoccurring mudug infighting. It's always the locals that are the root of the problems.

Anyways, the point is he isn't free to do as he wants, he has no support from within or out of the country. By 2021, we'll see larger number of amisom if anything.

SFG undertook an operational assessment of their army that had revealed thousands of ghost soldiers on their payroll and thirty percent of their army ill-equipped to defend their bases from AS. Onus is on his administration to correct the payroll issue and to provide weapons to their army units who don’t have anything to defend themselves with in the next few years. He wasted his first year going to the troop contributing countries for an offensive that never materialized when he should have seeked support for his army to get heavy arms by lobbying China or Russia. AMISOM is going to drag their feet because who would want to walk away from a lucrative mercenariy business they have going on in Somalia. We already saw their hand back in September when they said they will leave Somalia on their own accord not on ours or the IC.

Alhamdulilah, by the grace of Allah swt we are already seeing tensions stirring up in majority of the Troop contributing countries ( Ethiopia, Kenya, Burundi) and the donor countries are shifting westward because of France pulling funding for their Sahel operations. Whether they like it or not AMISOM is winding down and all Farmaajo has to fill the gaps found within the internal assessment in order to meet the conditions set by the International community.

The only plan I have seen was the security framework shown back in the London conference which revolves around the Turkish base. The eighteen thousand is just a continuation of the western policy to restrain Somali irredentism since the days we switched sides back in the Cold War to the benefit of Somalia’s neighbours. As long as we rely on them for funding it’ll remain as it is.

To gauge his success is to see how much AMISOM troops leave in the 2018 calendar year. Thousands of them are slated to leave in May 2018 and December 2018. There are those in Somalia like Sharif Saakin who are begging them to stay for an indefinite period of time and TCCs are intentionally pulling strategic retreats the past year (Bardera, leego) to set the SNA up for failure thus making them stay past 2021. You’re right that there’s a lot going against Farmaajo but he has the ability to improve the state of the SNA that will allow us to meet the conditions of the exit strategy.
