A lot of Ppl in here would agree with me that if both are working than it’s fair that the guy helps around the house

But if she’s a housewife with kids and you come from work you shouldn’t even lift a finger cause you been working all day I don’t agree with that mindset some call me a doormat for it whatever

I don’t see it like that I don’t think it’s a good thing and not healthy if you’re married and got kids that you’re wife is the only one whose gonna cook and clean around the house and look after the kids it should be that both are involved and are hands on with the parenting

I do cook at least 3 meals a week and my culinary skills are ok. My favourite meals are Malay/Indonesian dishes, their ingredients are cheap to buy, the food is tasty, nutritious and easy to cook.
I never tried Malay or Indonesian is it similar to other Asian cuisine like Thai food?

Sounds reasonable.

And this is why people call you a simp. :manny:

How is a person a simp for contributing in his home after work?

It’s your home and your kids and you’re role isn’t just to provide for the family

imo I don’t think that’s healthy in the long run her having all that burden on herself

You wouldn’t be hands on dad ?:cosbyhmm:

Of course I would be. But if I'm marrying a woman who wants the housewife lifestyle, keeping the house in order in terms of cooking, cleaning, etc. is simply part of the job description. Children are a different story entirely and not what I was talking about, but even then you would think being at home she would naturally play a more nurturing role in the lives of our kids than I would.

Perhaps the 95% of Somali guys that are opposed to Mercurys way of doing things are actually the ones being real with themselves. I mean this is an anonymous forum and their “hyper masculine” views aren’t winning them any favors with the females of the forum so why see it as an act when the vast majority of them disagree with him. That’s even the case irl. Niggas like him are an anomaly in our culture (not necessarily a bad thing) they just don’t cook and clean at home and the ones that do would be looked at funny by their peers if word got out. It’s just not our dhaqan and it’s also why the new generation of xalimos are having problems with the new breed of niggas that are born or raised here but still have the blueprint of their fore fathers
back home I did get a lot of comments about it But it doesn’t bother me some parts of the culture I don’t abide by like only ladies cook and clean

I'm not saying you should be the classical breadwinnner. You owe your children to be a parent, but if your wife is a homemaker then it's her job to make sure the home is in order. You're basically bankrolling her lifestyle and then come home to cook and clean for her while all she does is look pretty and maybe clean the washroom once every month? That is the making of a simp bruh.

Man I love cooking it's absolutely great. More people should learn about their food, how and what you eat. Ive started bulking and it's been good. All in on meal prepping atm it's good.

In this day and age, both parents need work and preferably an education. So both need to know how to cook, both for themselves and for their families.

If she’s a housewife the house is probably clean after she been cooking and cleaning all day

I’m just saying if I come from work I would help her prepare dinner or bath the kids nothing simp about it

@Mercury you should make some chicken kothu rotti. It's a Sri Lankan dish and wallahi itself absolutely delicious, easy and cheap(er) to make.

In the pic it's rather small, but in a standard food container that shit will fill you up a thousand calories and still leave you hungry :ahh:
