Abdi wants to call it quits after his soon to be wife (Niqabi) unveiled her face

I would provide evidence but u wouldn't even accept it u would just argue for 10 hours, instead im going to get someone who doesn't even believe there is hijab in Islam to debate you
@Fowzi Kaahin
This man thinks hijab is prescribed in the Quran. Since you donot believe this please refute him
There is no hijab in the Quran. Yeah I said it, there's only an ayah that says the women shall use their qimars to cover their breasts. Until the 18th century, hijab as we know it today did not exist in the Muslim world. The Muslim brotherhood and the Salafi movement created the institution of hijab in an effort to fight communism and the growing socialist regimes.

Now that Wahhabism won in the Muslim world, women are forced to wear the hijab but any Muslim country that didn't allow the spread of Wahhabism, hijab is rare. Turkey, The Balkans, Cyprus, Lebanon, and Central Asia barely even have hijab. The khimar is sunnah because it is needed in prayer just like a man must wear a shirt that isn't stuck in prayer but it's not cawrawh if he wears a skinny shirt or skinny jeans for every day life. The same goes for a women that shoes her hair but covers her awrah.

All scholars agree that niqqab is either waajib or mustahaab(preferred)
Meaning there is no scenerio in which a women wears niqab and it isnt better for her Islamically
In fact all women should try to imitate the wives of the prophet sallallahu alayhi wasalam
There is no opinion which says niqqab is mubaah(permissible)

It is not Either or but majority opinion and one Opposing opinion to the majority of Scholars. It is not Waajib based on Verse and Hadeeth. So that is the stronger opinion with the Nusuus. Mustaxab is not the same as Waajib. Niqab IS NOT required per Islam. If a woman finds it suitable, or some Sheekh thinks it is suitable, their views and feelings doesn't make Niqab WAAJIB.

If niqaab is that good for a women, imagine a society that all women wore a niqaab. What on Earth, how would you even recognize your wife in all the segregated areas. How would you find your sisters and what if there is a female criminal that just puts on the niqaab and goes right back into the crowd. Niqaab in my opinion, is a women's choice to remain anonyms for safety reasons not to be less attractive sexually, it is good for a women at times but it's not something that is religious at all.

Islam does not belong to a sect, so take it easy lest you contradict what is stated in the Quran and Authentic Hadeeth out of ignorance.

It is better to approach an issue in Islam based on the Quran and Hadeeth since both are readily accessible to everyone.

They have to show their IDs and face to match for investigative purposes or when crossing controlled points in travel etc. They will abide by the rules like everybody else if they want to participate in life. Other than the need to ID them for criminal, travel or required issues, they are free to wear them all day and night. Nobody cares really.

Fake story. No 20 year-old fella in Seattle is gonna get married at that age. The fella didn't even finish college. The story is fake, and it is a grown-up person taking a shot at the niqab.

btw, the go to website for Islamic Fatwa, the website which is managed by Saudi Arabia's Clerics calls Niqab Un-Islamic In Origin. Quite funny LOL. They say in one of their replies that Some Scholars encourage women not to wear it for many reasons.

Axmed Godane the commander of Al Shabab is said to walk around with a niqaab without nobody noticing even Mukhtar Robow his deputy and Indhacade stated this however, let's say there is Id's, do you want the police to check them every second. The safest city in south Somalia is Kismayo and it has the least amount of bombs, Niqaab is banned over there. Al shabab operatives wear it to bypass security infostructure and when 30% of women wear the niqaab you can't check a million people daily with a limited police force.

What she did was wrong and a waste of time. He’s dumb too.

(Reported by Muslim, no. 1424; and by al-Daaraqutni, 3/253 (34))

From al-Mugheerah ibn Shu’bah: “I proposed marriage to a woman, and the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: ‘Have you seen her?’ I said, ‘No.’ He said, ‘Look at her, because it is more fitting that love and compatibility be established between you.’” According to another report: “So he did that, and he married her and mentioned that they got along.”

Agreed. Looks matter, to everyone, but of course the amount of how much it matters varies from person to person.
So there's no way that it should've gotten that far without them both knowing how their potential spouse looked.
Before it got that far, he should have made it clear that he wanted to see her.

Niqab should be banned for security reasons in somalia

Makes sense and the Saudi Clerics would agree with the Kismayo Officials. I read on their website their opposition to latest Niqab trends. And they state Niqab is not Waajib. That is why I was telling you earlier to be careful of judgement on a religious issue based on your sentiments towards certain groups of people. Islam belongs to All Muslims.

Not all together but we need to find a way to deal with men who hid behind the niqaab even if it's banned, many will still wear it. The best way is to have many female police officers and secret agents to check if any criminals or terrorist are hiding amongst them.

Too much effort for a poor country. Just ban it and use those resources for other purposes. Maybe after 20 years it can be legal.

All countries where hijab was banned and Lebanon isn't 100% muslim

I will list the supportive evidence of my views that Niqab is not Wajib. Others in favor of Niqab being Wajib can post their supportive evidence. Personally, it is up to the ladies to wear Niqab or Not to wear Niqab.

The following is the supportive evidence from Islam that Scholars who say Niqab is not Wajib used.

"Permanent Niqab or face veil is not an Islamic requirement; it is a personal choice since Niqab is forbidden during Ihram according to most contemporary scholars based on the following fatwa:

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:

“A woman who is in the state of Ihram (during Hajj or Umra) may not wear a niqab or gloves.” (Al-Bukhari)

However, she is allowed to temporary cover her face whenever non-Mahram men pass by her according to Aisha’s narration:

“Whenever rides pass by us while in Ihram with the Prophet (peace be upon him), as they get closer we covered our faces and when they pass us we removed it” (Abu Dawud)

If a woman covers her face with a burqu (mask) or niqab, permanent face cover, she has broken one of the rules of Ihram and must pay a fidyah (redemption) according to the following verse in the Quran which is translated as:

{…then you should make redemption by fasting, or alms-giving, or ritual sacrifice…} (Al-Baqara, 2:196)

She will not collect any sin if she makes redemption. However, many scholars are of the opinion that a fidyah is not required.

Most contemporary scholars view that hijab fulfills the requirements for Muslim woman’s dress when in public and niqab is a step beyond that. The following paragraphs explain this view.

The permissibility of exposing the face and hands is based on the Quranic verse:

{And say to the believing women that they cast down their looks and guard their private parts and do not display their ornaments except what appears thereof} (An-Nur 24: 31)
Except what appears thereof” means the face and the hands as confirmed by the Prophet’s hadith (peace be upon him); he (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Asma’, daughter of Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with them):

“O Asma’! Once a girl reaches puberty, nothing of her body may be seen (by non-mahrams) except this and these, (he pointed to his face and hands while saying so).” (Abu Dawud, Al-Albani Classified it as Hasan)

"

My people will never be free until we stop cuckin for these arab customs. Niqab kulaha the poor kid was trying to live that ana arab fantasy and got hit with reality.
Not showing your face until the nikkah or wedding day isn’t Islam, it’s gulf arab culture. I don’t know why a Somali girl is following their cultural practices.
