Actually divorcee women are not discrimanated at all back home. Many remarry quite easily. There is nonstigma attached to divorce in Somali culture

The amount of divorced women back home working very hard for the survival of their children because they were totally abandoned by their husbands baffled me.

Will you do it for your kids? Judging from the comforts of my couch, I think it depends on the maturity of the kids. Some might be triggered after they watch a Bollywood movie or the 50 million Somali wedding videos on social media and want to get married. But Somalia is a different kettle. Having been there, I reckon this is one of the good and positive stories to come out from there.
