You are giving to much credit to the government and SNA, you do know that AMISOM is positioned in impotent areas to hold back an Al-shabab attack so they don't roll over Xamar.


And Al-shabab control larger land areas then the government and collect more tax than the government - they even collect tax in Xamar where the government is supposed be in control.

The ting is, if your are a business person in Xamar, with a decent business, Al-shabab will call you, and when they call you better fucking answer the phone or else...

And you have to pay protection-money aka "tax" to them.

Amisom is what is giving shebab as legitimate fighting force against the invading kufaars. As long as they are gone we can deal with our internal problems within just like in SL or PL. An occupying foreign force will never gain legitimacy.

The somali goverment can ask, right now, AMISOM to leave when their time is up but they would not do that.

They know that they can not take on Al-shabab with the SNA they have now.

They are asking just for that. It is Amisom, an uncountable foreign occupying force that is refusing.
We would just like to take over the national security force as any other sovereign country.
