If you were in Somalia, and you had a company. Would you hire someone who does not know how to read, write, or speak the Somali language?

No, it wouldn’t make any sense to me why would I hire a non Somali in Somalia? There are plenty of people I could hire, but I would start with my family, and they’ve already said no. I’d rather hire someone who is Somali and from the community. Where is this question coming from?

I would only hire them for graphic design / brand design which would only be necessary if i had a relatively large company. Or some sort of role where they dont have to communicate Other than that i dont see the point

Although you mention they cant read, write, or speak, but you never mention if they cant understand by ear. Which makes me believe this is a say wallaahi kid in which case i still almost never hire one if im in somalia. Because he cant communicate with anyone

A lot of Qurbo joog educated Somalis are going back. The problem is they don't speak the language yet they're looking for a job.

Oooh thats a business. Language schools for the educated muhaajiriin. High quality teachers because theiyre western and willing to pay more. Education then becomes more valuable

Yeah. Id hire diaspora gen z somalis only and call it a day. This is just starting off.

once my company gains a lot of tractions id partner up eith local universities and even universities abroad to try and gain scholarships for local Somalis who are poor and id give them a permanent place at my company if they get either a 2:1 or a first.
