WHY YOU LEFT THE DEEN

Highly doubt it was Cyrus as he was mushrik. He accepted and was tolerant of other Gods and allowed idolatry to prosper in his empire.

Was Cyrus the Great the Assyrian ruler or the Persian one?

The Assyrian one is the one who crushed the rebellious Jews and took them to captivity in Babylon.

The Persian one is the one who eventually freed the Jews from captivity in Babylon.

The Holy Quran mentions both events but did not mention those men's names.

⚠️ EPILEPTIC WARNING ⚠️
In Daarul-Islaam, if you leave Islaam, leave our land. However, if you want to stay in our land while you left Islam, you're creating fitna, and you should be deal with. You want to be an apostate, do abandon from the land of the Muslims. Nobody cares where you end up.
What if u keep ur gaalnimo to urself? I thought apostates only got killed if they spoke out against the deen.

If you keep it to yourself and don't spread your fitna, then nobody cares. Just don't spread your fitna amongst the Muslims. That is all.

But if you do brag about it in the Daarul-Islam, then you got another thing coming.

A few points to add:
1) A cancer metastasises in the body and therefore chemotherapy kills the cancer cells. At least for a non-Muslim they have to pay Jizya, they abide by the rules set and in return are given protection (Jews across history have had a safe haven within Muslim lands for e.g. Al-Andalusia compared to their times on Christian lands another reason why the whole Judeo-Christian spiel is a complete fallacy). Islam operates within a system and order is a crucial pillar within an Islamic state (this is again one of the many reasons against anarchy and sedition). Now an apostate is the antithesis of order, peace and obeying the law. They will commit zina, they will not pay Jizya, they will drink alcohol and it will imbue the rest of society. Therefore the solution is to remove this cancer cell before it expands. Reminder: This is only in a Shari’a-run Islamic state, with the nation state today an Islamic state is virtually impossible (Read Wael Hallaq’s book The Impossible State).

2) The second point is the more profound point and supersedes any other reason: An apostate has committed the greatest form of treachery. Today, as we speak, some US states (the supposed paragon of Human Rights) have capital punishment as a sentence for committing treachery against the state. To them, the state is god. To go against the state is a death sentence. So why are we considered “barbaric” for having the exact same ruling for an apostate? Colonialism has created this divide whereby the Shari’a needs to be watered down and said in a quiet tone given its not politically correct or seems outdated in today’s modern society, yet the civilised West can practice a similar policy and its justified. Another example is the choice of corporal punishment vs carceral punishment. One is considered normal while the other is again seen as barbaric - even though the latter has proven to work where implemented far more than the former (which is explicitly why the CIA and other Western intelligence services use it to an extreme when they believe they can torture information out of the supposed-criminal). But even if these intelligence services don’t do it, why is carceral punishment seen as far more humane given its chipping away at my time and mental health while corporal is seen as backwards? Again, it is steeped in modernity and the assumption that the individual owns their body hence their physical shouldn’t be violated but their time is perfectly okay to eat away at. Hence you constantly hear innocent people who did 20+ years for a crime they didn’t commit yet because this is the only punishment they know it was the only option, Islam firstly has so many steps to ensure it is the right person who is being convicted and only then a physical punishment is justified, ask any person who unjustly done 10+ years in prison and they’ll tell you they’d wish for a corporal punishment, let alone an Islamic governance due to our justice. (Foucault has done significant work on the dichotomy between corporal vs carceral punishment).

I left the deen before to freely do haram with a clear conscience. Everyone goes through challenges in faith eventually from low levels to severe.

Qur'an 6:111
And even if We had sent down to them the angels [with the message] and the dead spoke to them [of it] and We gathered together every [created] thing in front of them, they would not believe unless Allāh should will. But most of them, [of that], are ignorant.
