I dont know where you been , but my people don’t suffer from inferiority complex quite the opposite they are proud people proud of their heritage and their religion and they carry it with passion. But what does all of this have to do with praying for the oppressed?
Do I think there's a specific bias towards the Middle East in regards to their people and their affairs? Yes.

We also have to acknowledge that Jerusalem and the land that surrounds the holy city has been a contentious issue since Israel's inception, so when there's a push from Zionists and their allies to destroy innocent people and displace them, while annexing land that has sacred meaning to us, it's no wonder that many have their eyes on it.
Unfortunately a lot of us end up ignoring what's going on in the rest of the Ummah, forgetting that we should look at all those who've been oppressed. But we don't and I believe that's one of the reasons we're in this horrid state.
